Introduction of Guanyin Tower of Dinghui Temple in Rugao, Nantong?

Guanyin Pagoda is located in Dinghui Temple in the southeast corner of Rugao Ancient City in Nantong City. Contemporary ancient buildings imitating Ming and Qing Dynasties.

According to records, there was a stupa in Rugao, which was built with Dinghui Temple in the 11th year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (59 1), and the pagoda was seven stories high. Dinghui Temple gradually declined during the Jubilee of Song Dynasty and Tian Dynasty, and the original stupa was completely destroyed in the Five Dynasties. Later, despite the ups and downs of Dinghui Temple, the pagoda was never rebuilt.

The current tower was built in 2004. The seven-story octagonal pagoda imitates the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a height of 43.88 meters and a total construction area of more than 700 square meters. There are 32 bronze statues of Guanyin and 84 great compassion curses in the tower, which are made of glass and copper. There is a passage to climb the stairs to the top floor.
