Zhao Benshan's early experience:

1963, Zhao Benshan's mother died of illness, and his father left his hometown, almost becoming an orphan, and began to learn from his second uncle (a blind man). He is good at playing erhu, playing suona, throwing handkerchiefs, playing Yu Zi, singing ditty and duet, especially at sanxian. His miserable childhood was the wealth of his life, which laid a solid foundation for his future sketch and performance career.

1974, Zhao Benshan 17 years old joined the literary propaganda team of the commune and joined the Weiyuan Township Amateur Troupe. Later, he was seconded to Xifeng County Song and Dance Troupe and played the leading role in a duet. 1982, the first rural drama rehearsal was held in Liaoning province, and Zhang Zhi, a blind man, became famous in Liang He's cooperative drama Wrestling Three Strings.
