How to detect sperm quality has the following points:

1, semen volume. A normal adult male ejaculates more than or equal to ≥2ml at a time. When it exceeds 7ml, it is too much, which not only reduces the sperm density, but also easily flows out of the vagina, resulting in a decrease in the total number of sperm. Less than 2ml means that the semen volume is too small, the contact area between semen and female reproductive tract is small, or the viscosity is not conducive to sperm entering the woman's cervix. Too much or too little semen is a kind of sperm abnormality, which seriously affects the quantity and quality of sperm and may eventually lead to male infertility.

2. Survival rate. After ejaculation 1 hour, it is normal that the live sperm is ≥50%. Paragonimiasis, varicocele and the presence of anti-sperm antibodies in semen will all affect the survival rate of male sperm.

3. color. Normal semen is grayish white or yellowish, and milky white or yellowish green may be inflammation of reproductive tract or accessory gonads. Pink and red may be bloody semen, which is common in inflammation of accessory gonads and posterior urethra. Occasionally seen in tuberculosis or tumors.

4. viscosity. During inspection, it is normal for the glass rod to contact with liquefied semen and gently lift it to form semen filaments smaller than 2cm.

5, sperm count. Under normal circumstances, the sperm count per ml of semen is ≥20× 106ml. Too high or too low will affect sperm motility and normal function.

6.pH value. The PH value of normal sperm is between 7.2 and 7.8, which is beneficial to integrate the acidic environment of women's vagina, make sperm more active and make women easy to get pregnant. If it is acidic, it means there is inflammation, so there is less chance of pregnancy.

7. Chromosome analysis. The detection of sperm quality can be analyzed by male chromosomes. If there is something wrong with the chromosome, there will be too few sperm, too many abnormal sperm, too low motility or no sperm at all.

8. Detection of gonadotropin. The abnormality of gonadotropin is probably due to the abnormal functional state of male hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis, so we can understand the degree of testicular development or damage. The worse the testicular development, the more obvious the spermatogenic disorder, and the higher the serum follicle-stimulating hormone value. Conversely, the result can be inferred.
