Introduction to Jintai Temple

Jintaiguan is located in lingyuan city, north of Baoji City, 0.5km south of the railway station. Built at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, it is the temple of Zhang Sanfeng, a Taoist priest in Liaodong in Ming Dynasty. The existing buildings in Jintaiguan are divided into three parts: the Intermediate People's Court and the East and West Courtyards.

The main buildings and Taoist monuments are Jade Emperor Pavilion, Sanqing Hall, Lvzu Hall, Cihang Hall, Bagua Pavilion, Notre Dame Cave, Sanfeng Cave, Wangyao Cave and Chaoyang Cave. There is a high platform in the field of vision, overlooking the whole city. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the people's government allocated funds for the maintenance of ancient buildings in Jintai Temple. Later, a museum was established in the temple, and a large number of Western Zhou bronzes were exhibited, making the landscape famous.

Every year, on the third day of March and the tenth day of October in the lunar calendar, there are temple fairs in Jintai Temple and performances of local operas such as Shaanxi Opera.
