The Origin of Niuwang Temple in Gu Ying Village, Gao Qiu Town, zhenping county

Niuwang Temple originated from a beautiful legend. According to legend, in the Ming Dynasty, local residents raised cattle at home, and Xushan was the place where Xu Fulian Dan lived. People call it Fairy Mountain, where there are towering trees and lush grass, which is a good place to raise cattle. One day, when the cowherd was driving the cows home and walked to the east hillside, the first cow suddenly went crazy and stopped on the big stone at the top of the mountain. The shepherds can't move. I saw the cow standing on the top of a stone eight or nine meters high, with big eyes and head held high. People said to themselves, "Is there an ox king in this mountain? Let me build an ox king temple here. " . As he spoke, he heard the response of the cow "Cleisthenes", so people quickly said to the cow, "Come down quickly, we will build the Niuwang Temple here." The cow seemed to understand, wagged its tail and stepped down from the stone. People soon built the Niuwang Temple. After the completion, local people regularly come here to worship and pray for cows to live and work in peace and contentment.
