Where is Baode Temple in Zengcheng?

Baode Temple in Zengcheng is a cultural relic protection unit in Zengcheng District.

Baode Temple is located in Bula Village, Xiaolou Town, Zengcheng District, between famous mountains and rivers such as Zhaoxian Mountain, Wohu Mountain and Chengxi River. In the 18th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1385), villagers in Bula Village built an ancestral temple in memory of Lai Qiqing, a military commander who made great contributions to the country. The ancestral temple, Cangjie Temple (Yuan Dynasty) and Jingxing Building (added during the Jiazi period of Hongwu) built here were arranged horizontally and merged with each other, forming a unique small ancient architectural complex with three religions: temple, tower, shrine, Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism.

Temple architecture in Baode

The whole ancient temple of Baode didn't use a nail.

The threshold of Baode Temple is higher than other places, and a middle gate is opened behind the ancestral hall gate. Generally, there is only a screen or a white wall behind the gate of the ancestral temple, but Baode Temple can open the middle gate because it was given by the emperor. Although the scale of Baode Temple is not large, its specifications are very high. "As a native of Bula, Mr. Yang Xianbin is very proud to introduce him.

Baode Temple stands in front of the high threshold of Baode Temple, and Yang Daochang explained the history of Baode Temple to reporters. "Today, Baode Temple is a complex composed of Cangju Temple and Jinghang Building. The predecessor of Cangjie Temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It turned out to be the Yin Ji Temple in the Northern Song Dynasty, so it should have a history of nearly 800 years. " According to reports, this ancient temple is supported by wooden beams, but the whole ancient temple does not use an iron nail.

Baode Temple enters Baode Temple, followed by Hongyimen (the Middle Gate). According to Yang Daochang of Baode Temple, Baode Temple was originally built by Bula villagers to commemorate Lai Qiqing from generation to generation after the Ming emperor gave him a plaque. It is also said that the red instrument door, the high threshold of the instrument door and the plaque inlaid with gold on the red background represent the supreme imperial power, which shows that this small temple is different.

Behind the middle gate of Baode Temple is a worship hall, surrounded by eight stone pillars, four of which are round in periphery and four square in interior, symbolizing the ancient circular place. "The visit to the DPRK was originally used by the royal family or senior officials to worship the gods, while the people worshipped in the cloisters on both sides."

People in Baode Temple

Since the Yuan Dynasty, there have been many talented people in Baode Temple.

On the right of Baode Temple and Baode Temple is Cangjie Temple. It is understood that this temple was originally a Yin Ji temple built in the Northern Song Dynasty, and it was not until the Yuan Dynasty that it was converted into a Cangjie temple. According to reports, Cangjie Temple still retains poems such as Xia Yun on Mao Feng written by Song Xianchun scholar Bruce Lee and Langhu Spring Water and Shitan Fishing written by five talented people in Guangzhou at the end of Yuan Dynasty.

Next to Cangjie Temple is Jingxing Building. "You can see the weathering degree of the wall of Jingxing Building, and you can know that it was built in another era. The first floor was built in the Yuan Dynasty, the second and third floors were built in the Wanli period, and the fourth and fifth floors were built in the Qianlong period. " It is said that there was a saying that Wenchang Tower was built in ancient times, that is, only local talents such as the champion and flower viewing can join. Therefore, we can know that in Bula, from the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, almost every generation of students gained fame.
