Ask Qionghai

There are three main legends of Qionghai. One is that the ocean has changed. The original Qionghai was in the present Lushan area. Later, due to geological changes, the bottom of the lake rose to form Lushan Mountain. Now there is a place called Ganhaizi on Lushan Mountain. Haizi is the name of the Yi area, which means lake. Occasionally, the remains of aquatic organisms such as shells and snails can be found in the dry Haizi area.

Another legend is about Yao Gang, the first jar in the world, to the effect that an ancient scholar escorted his father to retire when he died, passing through Xichang Qionghai. He wanted to bury his father on the spot, so he found a fortune teller. Mr. Wang told him that a good kind of purple wood can be found in Yao Gang, which can be used to make coffins. If it is done, it will even be Fukuzawa's son or even the emperor. The scholar took people to find it, and sure enough, he found the purple wood buried in the soil, so he took people to dig it. I never thought that Zimu turned out to be a dragon. It turned into a dragon and left a hole in the ground. The water in the cave kept gushing, which was about to flood the whole area. Yao Gang has a fisherman who once saved a red carp, and this red carp is about to turn into a positive fruit. It could not bear the disaster of the benefactor, so it gave the fisherman a dream. According to the instructions of the red carp, the fisherman led the villagers to burn a big jar, which is called the first jar in the world. Blocked the outlet with this jar, stopped the flood and saved people.

The third legend is the legend of Qinglong. There is a temple near Qionghai called Qinglong Temple, which turned out to be a small earthen temple. It is said that the scales of Qinglong are enshrined in the temple. In case of drought, it is very effective to worship Longlin in the temple and it will rain immediately. The area where the temple is located is called Qinglong Temple, which is the place with the best water quality and the deepest water in Qionghai. Now the small temple has been built into a big temple, and the surrounding area has been developed into a tourist attraction.
