Which classic is the root of China culture?

China culture is rooted in Tao Te Ching.

Literally, Tao is based on morality. Tao Te Ching is a great work, and its position in the history of China's philosophy is self-evident. Times have changed and society has progressed. In today's society, no matter businessmen or officials, farmers or workers, they all know the Tao Te Ching and agree with its profoundness. However, I didn't know that the Tao Te Ching was closely related to Taoism, but I didn't know much about the cultural background of Taoism. It had a deep connection with the local culture of China and had a distinctive China characteristic. I don't even know the cultural roots that have had a profound impact on our ancient culture and art, folk customs, handicrafts, grain cultivation, architecture, medical care and so on in China.

Let me start with China's writing and calligraphy. It is generally believed in academic circles that the earliest written object in the history of China was Oracle Bone Inscriptions, and the earliest person who carved Oracle Bone Inscriptions was a Taoist, because Oracle Bone Inscriptions was used for divination, while Zhou Wenwang was the interpreter of gossip, and Zhou Wenwang's teacher was a Taoist reality Jiang Ziya.

A calligraphy tablet inscribed by Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo and Huang Tingjian, a great writer, was written by Tao Hongjing (for the author's textual research on this tablet, see my essay "There are immortals in it-a temporary examination of the eternal mystery tablet"). He was a Taoist in the Northern and Southern Dynasties and became immortal after his death. The immortal Monument to Miao Ling was also written by the disciples of the famous Taoist priest Kou in the Northern and Southern Dynasties.

Secondly, China's ancient poems were first used to celebrate and sacrifice temple fairs. The ancient rhyme in ancient poetry, the singing and singing of folk operas are all related to the ritual of sacrifice and praise in ancient Taoism. At present, China's ancient songs have lost their ancient rhymes frequently, but Taoist sacrificial music is circulated in an orderly way.

Third, the descendants of the Chinese people can live endlessly in the long river of historical wars, relying on themselves, benefiting others and benefiting others? Seven or two lines of folk crafts? The inheritor of its invention is also a real person of all ages!

For example, Huangdi Xuanyuan left cotton to make clothes, Xuan Nv left weaving to keep warm, Sun Zhenren left medical skills to treat people, Yang Wuxian left painting art, Zheng left clay sculpture, Wu Daozi left painters' calligraphy, Fang left boat ferrymen to carry goods, Dong Bin left apprentices to raise people with yellow wine, Cang Xie left apprentices to write history books, Hua Tuo left apprentices to scrape bones and heal, and Wen Boxian left apprentices to burn bricks and make pots. Luban left two carpenters to build houses, Cai Lunxian left paper making, Huainanzi left boiled tofu and sugar, Yuan Tiangang left fortune telling, Ma Yixian left fortune telling, Duke Zhou left a geomantic compass, and Shennong left herbs?

Furthermore, in the history of China, all the sages and emperors were apprentices, and most of their teachers were real immortals. Such as: worship Guang as a teacher, worship Chi Songzi as a teacher, worship Yin as a teacher, worship Jiang Ziya as a teacher, Yuan Tiangang as a teacher, worship Han Gaozu as a teacher, Deng Zhonghua as a teacher, and Kong Ming as a teacher?

China's first book, Induction on Mount Tai, is a Taoist classic, which was preached by Taoist priests in all dynasties after the Song Dynasty. Master Yin Guang praised printing all his life, arguing that printing is more than Buddhist scriptures! The above list not only shows the inheritance of China culture in Taoism, but also shows the humanization and universality of Taoism.

As an important part of China culture and the source of China culture, when will Taoism be revived? In recent years, various media are calling for attaching importance to universal values, opposing deception and advocating kindness. Taoism, which advocates benevolence and righteousness and is the cultural pillar of China for 5,000 years, hopes to get more attention from people of insight, which coincides with the central government's promotion of traditional culture and the promotion of moral cultivation of the whole people.

Xiu Yuan has a long way to go, and it has a long way to go to promote Taoist culture. This article is simple, hoping that more Taoists and Taoists will participate in the discussion and jointly promote the traditional culture of China.
