The development of history

Jiujiang District is formed by merging the suburbs of Wuhu, Sihe Mountain and yuxikou District. 1990.

From 65438 to 0996, Jiujiang District governed Siheshan Street, yuxikou Street, Wan Li Town, Da Qiao Town and Guandou Township.

1997, in Jiujiang District, Guandou Township was abolished, and Guandou Town was established, where the people's government was stationed.

In 2003, Jiujiang District was located in the northeast of Wuhu City. It borders Wuhu County in the east, Wuwei County in Chaohu City in the west, Jinghu and Wuxin District in the south, and borders dangtu county in Maanshan City and Chaohu City and County in the northeast and northwest respectively. Area 153 km2, population 158600.
