Longhui, the hometown of honeysuckle in China and the hometown of three spices praised by Zhou Enlai, is famous at home and abroad for Baoqing pepper, red garlic and Tiger Claw ginger, with an annual planting area of 60,000 mu. It is a national pepper production base and a pepper foreign trade export base.

honeysuckle

Longhui honeysuckle has been cultivated for more than 30 years since the early 1970s. In recent 10 years, our county listed honeysuckle as one of the pillar industries for key development, and formulated a series of supporting policies to accelerate the pace of industrial construction. Area, output and output value increased steadily. In 2003, the area grew to 280,000 mu, the output was 1 10,000 tons, and the output value was about10.50 billion yuan. Products sell well in Guilin, Guangzhou and Chongqing.

Longhui Pepper (Baoqing Pepper)

Longhui Zanthoxylum bungeanum is a traditional product in this county, with an annual planting area of about 30,000 mu. The main producing areas are Taohong Town, Shanjie Hui Township and Beishan Township, and the rest are planted all over the county. Before liberation, it was mainly distributed in Hui nationality township in the southern mountainous area of Longhui and Hui nationality settlement in Beishan township. According to county records, in 38 years of the Republic of China, the planting area was 2,500 mu, and the dry pepper was produced 1.50 tons. After 50 years, it developed rapidly and the area increased to 10,000 mu. In 1957, it was designated as the national pepper production base, with the sown area exceeding 1.2 million mu, and the total output in the 1970s was 1.0 million mu. The favorable area of foreign trade market remained at1.2-25 million mu, and the total output was between 5500- 1.67 million tons. 1979 was designated as a foreign trade export base county. The production area expanded to 30,000 mu, and the total output exceeded 2,000 tons. Since then, it has remained between 30,000 and 25,000 mu.

Garlic with red skin

Longhui garlic is mainly red-skinned garlic, with plant height of 60-70 cm, lanceolate leaves, 6- 12 leaves, dark green, garlic moss 50-70 cm long, bulbous oblate, purple skin, 6-9 petals, and longitudinal diameter of 3.5- 10 cm. In the 1980s, Hong Kong businessmen planted four small characters and three big characters on the pages of Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao: Baoqing garlic, spicy, fresh and Longhui red garlic grew for about 2 10 days, and were sown in the middle and late September, with the plant spacing of 2-3 city inches and the row spacing of 6-7 city. Every 667㎡, 300-4000 Jin of garlic moss is produced.

Tiger Claw cingil

The main variety of Longhui ginger is called Tiger Claw ginger by farmers in producing areas. From the morphological point of view, it should be classified as a kind of red claw ginger, because its overground plants are too long and strong, and its rhizome meat should be plump, with less fiber, yellow skin and red buds. Zhejiang flower claw ginger is shaped, but it is slightly different. It looks like Tiger Claw, and its rhizome elongation is slightly better than that of Polygonum multiflorum. Secondly, it also has the characteristics of red bud ginger and Fujian bamboo ginger. The average plant weight is 0.5- 1 kg, and the yield of 667 square meters is generally around 2000 kg. In the past ten years, the planting area has been maintained at 4000-6600 mu, mainly distributed in Shanjie, Taohong Town, Beishan Township and Hui Township in Jin Shiqiao Town. In the early days of liberation, the sown area was about 80- 100 mu. Coix seed, glutinous rice, Liugu, Bodhi beads. It is an annual plant of Gramineae.

Coix seed is not only a medicinal crop, but also a food crop with rich nutrition. According to the analysis, it contains 62.38% starch, 17.57% protein, 5.85% fat and 1.3% ash powder. Every100g contains B132mg, in addition, it also contains amino acids such as lysine, chromic acid, tyrosine and alanine which are indispensable to human body.

In ancient Chinese medicine, the therapeutic and nourishing effects of coix seed include "treating muscle and bone contracture, unyielding, chronic rheumatism and qi stagnation" (the classic) and "coix seed invigorating spleen and stomach, tonifying lung and clearing heat, expelling wind and removing dampness". Decocting to promote diuresis and treat heat stranguria; "Compendium of Materia Medica" records that the root of Coix lachryma-jobi is effective in treating jaundice. At present, Chinese and Western medicine uses Coicis Semen to treat tuberculosis, nephritis, tumor enlargement, enteritis and diarrhea, cardiogenic edema, pleurisy and chronic arthritis. The newly developed Coicis Semen Injection is mainly used to prevent and treat cancer.

The main use of coix seed is edible. At the banquet, it is called "Dragon Ball Rice". Compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and overseas Chinese use coix seed to make porridge, and Japan uses coix seed to make high-grade cakes. Because of its high quality and low pollution, it has been selected as the staple food in recent years. Therefore, since 1980s, Japan has set up Coix seed associations all over the country to promote the production and sales of Coix seed.

Coix seed has a long history of cultivation. Wang Chong in the Western Han Dynasty recorded in Lun Heng that "Yu swallowed Coix seed and gave birth to Yu, and the Xia surname was Tian You". Over the past 100 years, our city (Baoqing) has been well-known in the world for its "full grains, crystal white and excellent quality" and exported to Southeast Asia. Longhui County, originally under the jurisdiction of Shaoyang West District, is the main producing area of one meter in Baoqing. Especially after the 1960s, the production of coix seed in our county developed rapidly. Coix seed has become a traditional export commodity in our county and a distribution center of "Baoqing Coix seed" in the world. 1979, the sown area of coix seed in our county reached 9,459 mu, and the total output reached 905.85 tons, accounting for 5 1.4% and 64.5% of Shaoyang City respectively. It became the main producing county in Shaoyang City, and the annual planting area is now stable at around 1 10,000 mu. The annual output of coix seed is 1000 tons. Mainly sold to Guangdong and Southeast Asian countries.

radix polygonati officinalis

Polygonatum odoratum, also known as cauda ginseng, is a rare homologous product of medicine and food. Sweet and slightly bitter, it has the effects of nourishing yin, moistening dryness, promoting fluid production and quenching thirst, and is suitable for the treatment of lung and stomach yin injury, cough due to heat dryness, dry throat and thirst due to internal heat.

Polygonatum odoratum has been cultivated in Longhui for more than 40 years. After long-term production practice and scientific research, a mature planting and processing technology system has been formed. In recent years, Polygonatum odoratum has been listed as one of the priority medicinal varieties by Longhui County People's Government, and given priority support in policy funds, which has enabled this industry to develop rapidly in a short time. In 2002, the planting area of the county reached 9,000 mu, with an annual output of 2,500 tons (Polygonatum odoratum) and an output value of 50 million yuan. The matching processing industry has also been fully developed. According to statistics, there are 20 processing plants with an output value of over one million yuan, and 50 other smaller processing plants, which have implemented standardized industry management. The product quality is very stable, and it sells well in Guangdong, Hunan, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries as well as the United States and Canada.

Musk lily

Lily belongs to Liliaceae, which is the dried fleshy scales of Lily, Lily and DC Lily. Has effect in nourishing yin, moisten lung, relieving cough, clearing away heart fire and tranquilizing mind; Indications: dry cough due to yin deficiency, fatigue cough, hemoptysis, pulmonary fistula, asthenic heat, vexation and fright, insomnia and dreaminess. Longya Lily is a traditional brand-name product in Longhui County, which has a production history of hundreds of years. According to the local records of Shaoyang, "Lily produced in Shaoyang is exceptionally large and beautiful". Longhui was originally a town in the western part of Shaoyang, which is the traditional origin of lily.

Tea has a long history in our county. According to a poem written by Xie Meilin (now Luohong Township, Longhui County) during the Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty: "Under the shade of a county, the mountains and rivers are like Yongjia, with more males than females, and the seeds are half-soaked in tea ...", and "Qin Ding" donated 18 kg of tea in the private plot of Zou Jintai, the second group of villagers in Dongxia Village, Luohong Township, until the founding of the Republic of China (A.D.1. There is a big tea tree about 200 years old, with a height of 4 meters, a bent trunk as big as a rice bowl (about 10cm in diameter) and a crown of 2 meters, which can harvest 1 kg of new tea at a time (unfortunately,/kloc-0 was cut down in 967). It can be seen that tea production in our county has a long history.

The prosperity of tea, coupled with our reasonable layout, has played a regional advantage. The quality of broken black tea in our county has always been among the best. 1979, luohong broken tea "9221kloc-0/"won the first place in the fourth set of red broken tea samples in China, and Xinglong "922 10 1" won the fourth place in China.

It is a new variety bred by Hunan Horticultural Research Institute, Xiaoshajiang Town of Longhui County and Zhang Shicheng. Appraised by provincial experts in September, 20001year, the fruit has excellent quality, large shape, rich and delicious flavor, excellent storage resistance and high and stable yield. Hong Kong, Thailand and other foreign businessmen have unique flavors, ranking first in the world. On August 26th, 2006, New Zealand experts visited the Kiwifruit Base in Cui Yu, and spoke highly of it. It is a new variety with great development prospect.

An excellent local fruit-Longhui Yaozhai persimmon

Persimmon in Longhui Yaozhai is an excellent local fruit variety. Longhui seedless persimmon and persimmon with persimmon won the seventh place in the national persimmon variety comparison and the first place in the southern variety respectively. It is a potential fresh food. The county's existing planting area is 1.2 million mu, with a total output of 2,500 tons. This variety has strong tree potential and tall tree body. The crown of the tree is erect or half-open, with a cone and a semi-spherical cone. The leaves are big and stretched, and the color is thick green. Flowers bisexual, petals spreading or not spreading or twisted outward. The fruit ripens from early September to mid 10. The fruit is large, with a single fruit weight of 150-500g. There are obvious overflow marks in the middle or near the top of the fruit at 1/3. The peel is smooth, the color is beautiful, there is no longitudinal groove, the top of the fruit is sunken and the fruit is sunken. The pulp is orange-red, the juice is sweet, the content of sugar, protein and fat is high, and it also contains essential elements such as iron, calcium and phosphorus. Fresh fruit must be soaked and astringent before eating. Generally, fresh persimmons are put into clear water and soaked in persimmon leaves for 7 days. The processing capacity of persimmon in Longhui is very small, and there is no special mechanical processing enterprise in the county at present. Generally, dried persimmons are naturally dried in folk soil. Fruit is mainly sold locally, and the market price is generally per kilogram 1.6-2.4 yuan. The retail price of persimmons is generally 7- 10 yuan per kilogram. In the next few years, the county will focus on creating local characteristic products of persimmon in Longhui, further expand the scale of the base, set up special persimmon processing plants, unify brand packaging, and strive to make the persimmon industry in the county bigger and stronger and make benefits.

Super-early-maturing citrus variety Long Yuan Zao.

Long Yuan is a super-early-maturing citrus variety bred by Longhui. Senior agronomist Liu, researcher Xiang Deming from Provincial Horticultural Research Institute and assistant researcher Zhang Yu from Shaoyang Citrus Research Institute were selected successfully, and the field number was 730 1. 1980 passed the provincial appraisal, 1988 was approved and named by Hunan Crop Variety Approval Committee, and 1983 won the third prize of major scientific and technological achievements in Hunan Province.

After the product was approved to be named, it was promoted in Longhui County and surrounding counties and cities. From 1985 to 1989, it was extended to 24,000 mu in Longhui County and 60,000 mu in Shimen County. The total area of the province is 654.38+10,000 mu, with an annual output of 50,000 tons, including 6,000 tons in Longhui. In addition, Long Yuan has been occupied by Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei, Guizhou, Sichuan, Guangxi, Jiangxi and other provinces, cities and autonomous regions, and has formed a certain scale in Hechi, Guangxi.

Our county is located in Xuefeng Mountain Basin, with mild and humid climate, large temperature difference between day and night, no pollution to the environment, and quite good ecological conditions, especially in Xiaoshajiang area, which is rainy and foggy, with low temperature, especially suitable for the development of potatoes.

Longhui multicolored rice (high quality rice)

Longhui County is a large agricultural county, with rice as the main grain production, and rice is the leading industry in the rural economy of this county. During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, the average annual planting area of rice in the county was 837,200 mu, and the average yield was 4 14. 1 kg, with an annual output of 350,000 tons of rice, ranking first in the city in both area and output.

Our county is located in the transition zone from the western edge of Lianshao Basin to the middle of Xuefeng Mountains, with hills in the south, mainly double-cropping rice, and middle-season rice in the northern mountainous area. The whole county is characterized by rolling mountains, numerous inter-mountain basins, humid climate, large temperature difference between day and night, suitable temperature during grain filling and good ecological conditions, which is especially suitable for developing high-quality ecological rice. Rape and peanuts

Rapeseed and peanut are the main oil crops in our county, and they are also two major crops with traditional advantages in our county.

First, the planting area is large. The annual planting area of rape is more than 6.5438+0.2 million mu, and the annual planting area of peanut is more than 50,000 mu.

Second, there are many high-quality varieties. The annual planting area of high-quality rapeseed exceeds 654.38+10,000 mu, accounting for about 85%. The main varieties are Xiang Yan No.7 and Xiangzayou series. The proportion of high-quality peanuts is over 90%, and the main varieties are fragrant peanuts.

Third, the commodity rate is high. The commodity rate of rapeseed is 100%, and all farmers sell it to processing enterprises as edible oil raw materials. The commodity rate of peanuts is about 80%, about half of which is used as raw material for oil extraction.

Fourth, there are many processing enterprises. There are more than 50 large and small oil processing enterprises in the county, among which there are 3 enterprises with annual processing capacity exceeding 654.38+10,000 tons, namely: Du Nan Weierkang Oil Factory, Wang Jinlong Vegetable Oil Co., Ltd. and Chengdong Oil Mill.

Fifth, the market sells well. Because people's living standards are getting higher and higher, the obesity rate is getting higher and higher, and the sales of vegetable oil are also increasing. Especially, the fragrant peanut oil in Wang Jinglong is very popular, and its products are exported to Changsha, Guangdong and other places.

Egg jujube is a kind of high-quality improved fruit in Longhui, which is named because its cause and effect are as big as eggs. Longhui County has an existing planting area of 5,000 mu of eggs and red dates. Natural fruit drop is less, the fruit does not crack, and it is easy to process. The average yield per plant was 40 kg at full fruit stage, and the high yield reached 150 kg. The fruit ripens in mid-August. Early fruiting, high and stable yield, suitable for dry raw food. Strong drought and cold resistance, less pests and diseases, rich nutrition, great medicinal value and broad development prospects.
