The Eight Immortals are widely circulated Taoist Eight Immortals. Before the Ming Dynasty, there were different views on the names of the Eight Immortals. There were eight immortals in Han Dynasty, eight immortals in Tang Dynasty and eight immortals in Song and Yuan Dynasties. It was not until the Ming Dynasty that Wu Yuantai's Eight Immortals on a Journey to the East was defined as Han Zhongli, Zhang, Cao Guojiu, Han Xiangzi, He Xiangu.

Legend has it that the Eight Immortals represent men, women, old people, young people, rich people, rich people, poor people and poor people. Because the Eight Immortals are ordinary people, their personalities are very close to ordinary people. In recent years, they are important representatives of Taoist immortals. Many places in China have the Eight Immortals Palace, which is also an indispensable place to worship God. Sandalwood boards, fans, crutches, flutes, swords, gourds, dust, orchids and other eight things commonly known as the Eight Immortals are the eight treasures representing the products of the Eight Immortals. Among literary and artistic works, the most famous ones are Crossing the Sea with Eight Immortals and Giving Birthday Gifts. The mythical novel Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea borrows the Eight Diagrams and Five Elements and adopts personification.

First place, Tie Guai Li.

Let's talk about Tie Guai Li. Tie Guai Li is the head of the Eight Immortals in folklore.

Also known as Li, Ming Xuan, also known as Li Ningyang, Li Hongshui and Li Kongmu. It is said that he is tall and handsome. Practice in Dangshan Cave. When he agreed to attend the Huashan Fairy Meeting of Lao Jun, he told his disciples when he left that if Shen Yuan didn't come back within seven days, he would burn his skin. So he stayed in the chaff and Shen Yuan traveled abroad. Unexpectedly, on the sixth day, the disciples came to report their mother's critical illness, so they burned the shell. Soon after, it was Li Tie's turn. When the disciples went home, Shen Yuan came back, but there was nowhere to go. Suddenly, I saw a dead man in the forest. He came in through his forehead. He felt uncomfortable after he stood up. He quickly poured out the elixir given by the old gentleman from the gourd. The gourd suddenly flashed golden light, reflecting an ugly image. He has a dark face and unkempt appearance, curly eyes and a limp right foot. He was surprised. Suddenly someone clapped behind him. Looking back, it turned out that the old gentleman wanted to jump out of the Yuan God. At this time, the old man stopped and said that the road is not like this. If you look like this, you just need to work hard, that is, the vision is real. So he got a gold hoop to tie his loose hair and an iron crutch to help him limp. Li Tie monster often carries a gourd, which is said to contain fairy medicine. When he was born, he was dedicated to treating diseases and saving lives.

Second place Han Zhongli

In the Eight Immortals, Zhong Liquan is second only to Tie Guai Li in fame. He has a high position in the Eight Immortals, especially because of the praise of Taoist believers. In the Yuan Dynasty, Jin Zhendao was called the father of Zhengyang. His character prototype appeared in the Five Dynasties and the Early Song Dynasty. His deeds were recorded in Xuanhe Zhi, Zhi Zhi Zhi and so on. It was only later that people mistakenly thought he was from the Han Dynasty. Books such as "The Mirror of Immortals in Past Dynasties" and "Continued Books as Mirrors" say that Zhong Liquan's compound surname Jong Li has a silent word called Yunfangzi. A native of Xianyang in the Eastern Han Dynasty, his father Zhong was a general in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and his brother Zhong was a corps commander, and later became an immortal. There was indeed a man named Zhong Liquan in the Tang Dynasty. His three quatrains are recorded in all Tang poems, accompanied by biographies: Xianyang people met an old fairy, met a real person in Huayang, went to Fu Xuan, the fairy king, and went to Kongtong Mountain to chase immortals. In his poem "Chang 'an Restaurant's Three Taboo Sentences", it is said that it is not easy to become immortal without teaching your eyes to know the king. He is willing to accompany you when he goes back, and there is still a fairy spirit that makes him a good man.

Li Hanzhong belongs to the image of being far away from fire. Han Zhong is fierce, his treasure fan caught fire, the Dragon Palace was burned and so on.

Third place. Lv Dongbin

The most popular story among immortals is Lv Dongbin. In Taoism, Quanzhen Sect regards him as the father of Chunyang, that is, Lv Zu. Most researchers have always believed that Lv Dongbin, surnamed Lu, was born in the late Tang Dynasty. His poems are included in Jin Tang's Poems. In the Song Dynasty, there were Luo Dajing's Travel in the Crane Forest, Hong Mai's Jane's Records and Ji Xian's Biography. It is said that he is a Jingzhao person, a newcomer to Tang Xiantong, and has served as a county magistrate twice. According to legend, he is from Jiujiang, and his surname is Li. Because he avoided the disaster of the marquis of Wu, he was surnamed Lu. His first name was Shao Guang, but he didn't win the first place in the examination field for more than 20 years, so he went to the world and was inspired by Zhong Liquan. He is one of the most humane Eight Immortals. He is handsome, funny and safe for people. He is also good at drinking and indulging. There is a legend in the world about three plays by Lu. His legends are very complicated, but from these legends, we can see that he was originally a Tang Dynasty scholar who longed for Taoism, and later he was deified by people.

Lv Dongbin belongs to the image of dry gold. Gangua is pure yang, so it is called the bodhi old zu of pure yang, and the sword used is also called pure yang sword. I have always loved He Xiangu, and I am reluctant to part with him, which shows that Gan Kun has always been.

Fourth place: Zhang

Zhang is an old fairy named. Because he is the tallest among middle-aged people, people call him Zhang. There are indeed Zhang Guo in history, and there are legends in both old and new Tang books. When Wu Zetian lived in Zhongtiaoshan, everyone said that he had the secret of immortality. He claims to be several hundred years old. Wu Zetian sent messengers to summon him, but Zhang pretended to be dead. In the twenty-first year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Wei Ji, the secretariat of Hengzhou, heard the emperor, and Xuanzong called it. Zhang Guo played dead again. It took him a long time to wake up, and the messenger dared not go any further. When Xuanzong heard about it, he sent Xu Jiao to invite him. Zhang Guo must go to Beijing.

It is said that Tang Xuanzong doubted his rumors. Once, he asked Xing Hepu, who is good at calculating good and evil, to tell Zhang's fortune, but Xing Hepu knew nothing about Zhang Jiazi and had a teacher who was good at ghosts. Xuanzong invited him to see Zhang Guo, but he asked, "Where is Zhang Guo?" ? In fact, on the contrary, it is invisible. According to historical records, Zhang Guo is just an old liar with a certain sense of guilt. Why not fake death a few times to avoid being caught? This is an illusion at best. Therefore, all the fairy tales about him are fabricated by Taoism for propaganda purposes with the help of folk rumors and exaggerations. "Tai Ping Guang Ji" still remembers that Zhang claimed to be a descendant of Emperor Yao. Ask the warlock Ye Fashan Zhang the origin. Ye Fashan said: I dare not say it, but I will die if I say it. Later, he said that Zhang Guo was a white bat elf at the beginning of chaos. Say that finish, he fell dead. After Xuanzong intervened, Zhang Guo saved him.

In the early Song Dynasty, Tai Ping Guang Ji quoted Yi Ji as saying: He Erniang is a peasant woman who works as a shoemaker. Later, because her home was too stuffy, she swam in Luofu Mountain, lived in a temple and often collected wild fruits for monks to eat. On one occasion, a monk from Zhou Xun Mountain Temple, 400 miles away, came to Luofu Mountain Temple and said that one day a fairy went to another mountain to pick bayberries. After verification, that day happened to be the day when Ernian picked the fruit. Besides, everyone thinks that Ernian is a fairy who picks fruits in Zhou Xun Mountain Temple. From then on, Ernian became famous. She no longer lives in a mountain temple. According to "Xutongkao", when Tang was born, He Xiangu was born in Zengcheng County, Guangdong Province, with a pair of Xianke. At the age of thirteen, he met a Taoist in the mountains and ate a Taoist's Xiantao. After that, he was neither hungry nor thirsty. His body is as light as a fly, and he can foresee the fate of life. Later, she was called to Beijing and left halfway. Said she was from the Song Dynasty.

Some Song Dynasty literati notes often refer to her as Yongzhou in the Northern Song Dynasty, while others say that when she meets strangers, she will eat Xiantao to become immortal. Some people say that she eats grass in the countryside, and when she meets strangers, she will send dates to make her live forever. Some stories about He Xiangu's divination were also recorded in the notes of the Song Dynasty, which predicted good or bad luck. At that time, scholars and curious people went to other places for divination, which showed that she was just a folk witch who was good at divination.

He Xiangu belongs to the image of Kuntu. She is the only female of the Eight Immortals. She is very gentle and wants to be a couple with Lv Dongbin, which symbolizes that Gan Kun has shaped the image of Thailand.

Usually, I walk on the steps and beg along the street with a big castanet more than three feet long and playing with bamboo boards. He sang many songs, most of which were born from touching scenes, which not only made the world feel incredible, but also had fairy-tale significance. A cloud: When you dance with Cai Lanhe, will the world be geometric? Beauty is a tree in spring. Time flies. The old punk will never come back. Today, more and more people are coming. If you want to eliminate the drawbacks of the sacred dynasty, you must cherish the decadent years! Where is the home of Yunheng Qinling? The heavy snow stopped the blue horse. I know you should be interested in traveling so that you can collect my bones by the river. The legend of his immortality was first seen in Youyang Miscellaneous Daughter in the Tang Dynasty. According to this book, Han Yu had a nephew who lived far from home for a year. He is frivolous and uninhibited and doesn't like reading. Han Yu once scolded him, but he was able to change the color of peony flowers according to his uncle's request within seven days. There is a poem on every flower: Where is the home of Yunheng Qinling? This surprised Yu Han. Some people say that Han Xiangzi is the nephew of Han Yu, and his deeds are similar to those described in Youyang Miscellaneous China. Han Xiangzi's personality prototype is Han Yu's nephew, immortal for five generations.

No.8 caoguojiu

Cao Guojiu, the last of the Eight Immortals, finally appeared, and there were fewer fairy tales. Their origins and statements are similar, and they are all related to Cao. There is a legend in the history of Song Dynasty, Cao Shu, whose name is Gong Bo, is the grandson of Cao Bin and the younger brother of Cao Empress.
