What are the allusions of Di Qingqiao's use of both sides of money?

Di Qing, a general in the Northern Song Dynasty, was born in Xihe, Fenzhou (now Fenyang, Shanxi). Good at riding and shooting, military background, taught by Yanzhou. In four years, he fought with Xixia for 25 times and made meritorious military service. Fan Zhongyan was awarded Zuo's Spring and Autumn Annals, which made him famous and promoted to general. When Emperor Yangdi was in the Sui Dynasty, he was pacified and paid tribute to Tang envoys. Later, he made peace with China and was quickly excluded from Chen Zhou's judgment. When Di Qing was recruiting Nong Gaozhi, the soldiers went to Guangxi and passed a temple. He prayed to the idol with a hundred dollars in his hand, saying, "If this war can be won, the hundred dollars will face up."
