Which province does Qianjiang belong to?

Qianjiang belongs to Chongqing, located in the southeast of Chongqing and the hinterland of Wuling Mountain. Known as the "throat of Chongqing and Hubei", it integrates old revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas, remote mountainous areas and key counties for poverty alleviation and development. Qianjiang District, located in the southeast of Chongqing, is the junction of Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan and Guizhou.

Qianjiang District belongs to the western Hubei and eastern Chongqing fold belt in the southwest section of the third uplift belt in New China. The basement structure is a slightly metamorphic Banxi Group, with deposits from Sinian to Cretaceous and fossil remains from Ordovician to Quaternary. It is located in the fault zone, starting from the west of Zhongba in the north, passing through Dayakou, Baijiawan, Qinggangping and Shaojitan in the northwest of the city to Shijiahe in the southwest, with a total length of 56 kilometers and an overall trend of 30-40 in the northeast.
