Wangjiang County, belonging to Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located in the southwest of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a total area of 1347.98 square kilometers. As of May 2022, Wangjiang County had jurisdiction over 3 streets, 9 towns and 1 township. As of 202 1, the total population of Wangjiang County is 639,700.

In the 18th year (598), the county was changed to Wangjiang County. Because the Baota River in the southeast used to be the old path of the Yangtze River, the victory of the river can be seen in the city, so it was named "Wangjiang". Wangjiang is rich in natural resources and beautiful ecological environment, and is known as the land of plenty and white clouds.

Wangjiang County is located in the southwest edge of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, between 30 63' and 30 26' north latitude, and between116 26' ~116 55' north latitude. It faces dongzhi county and pengze county in Jiangxi Province across the river in the southeast.
