What do you mean by a minor disaster? Minor disasters refer to wars, plagues and famines ... minor disasters occur when life is "robbed". "Life-threatening" means that our life expectancy will be reduced by one year every 100 due to karma, and when it is reduced to twenty or thirty years old, there will be minor disasters. At that time, people were immoral and liked war, and it didn't rain for several years. Many people have died, which is a tragic scene ... we are now in a life-saving period. In fact, this phenomenon has gradually emerged. For example, COVID-19 is a plague ... this is all caused by our karma ... this is the "big three disasters" and "small three disasters" ... as long as we are kind, with the improvement of people's moral level in the later period, life will gradually increase. ...

Eight difficulties mainly refer to eight situations that hinder monasticism: one is hell, the other is beast, the third is hungry ghost, the fourth is deaf-mute, the fifth is discerning, the sixth is Buddha before Buddha, the seventh is depressed single, and the eighth is longevity. In other words, the world we live in, that is, the world of women, will always experience three major disasters and three minor disasters, and it is impossible to escape. If you want to avoid these disasters completely, you have to leave this world. But there are eight difficulties that prevent us from leaving. The first three difficulties are living in three evil ways, because practice is too painful. As for the fourth difficulty, because you can't listen and speak, it's difficult to consciously listen to the classics and learn the law. The fifth difficulty refers to arguing right and wrong with cleverness, which also affects my learning method, because I am slow and unconscious. The sixth difficulty is that I have nothing to do with Buddhism, and I was born before or after the death of the Buddha, that is, I have no chance to see good knowledge and it is difficult to learn without a good teacher. The seventh difficulty is that people born in Luzhou in the north have too many blessings and natural food and clothing, and are unwilling to practice because they are fond of music. It also means that they are arrogant and extravagant in the world because of their wealth, and they are unwilling to accumulate virtue and cultivate happiness. The eighth difficulty refers to the day when life is long, that is, the day when there is no thinking. There is no Buddha's guidance here, and they don't accept the teachings of Buddha and Bodhisattva, because they are heretics and don't believe in Buddhism. In other words, being born in heaven or going to three evil ways will hinder practice. Even if you are born with human nature, it is difficult to cultivate if you go to Luzhou, the northern capital. We have all heard of "three difficulties and eight difficulties", but few people know the real meaning.

Three difficulties are not terrible, and eight difficulties are terrible, because the obstacle of practice is the biggest disaster ...
