Location of Dazhi Temple

Dazhi Temple is located in Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province, with a scenic area of 108 mu, and is listed as a Buddhist activity place by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government.

Dazhi Temple was built in the Southern Liang Dynasty (502-557) and was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. In view of the long history of Dazhi Temple, and in order to meet the needs of Buddhist believers to promote Buddhism.

1994 laid the foundation stone for the restoration, and 1995 was completed in September, lasting one year and nine months. The temple consists of Mahayana Hall, Tianwang Hall, Shanmen Hall, Pharmacist Hall, three temples, Dizang Hall, Five Hundred Arhats Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Tang Qi, unique release pond, abbot's room, tea room, legal logistics office and guest room, with a construction area of nearly 20,000 square meters.
