Seventy-two temples and sites in Dengfeng

Located at the foot of Songshan Mountain, there are 72 peaks above and 72 temples below.

There are 72 monasteries in Dengfeng, 46 of which are well preserved. Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Dengfeng City, Henan Province, the birthplace of Shaolin Kung Fu in China, is almost a household name in China.

Shao Shi Temple, formerly known as Shao Shi Temple, was originally the lower house of Shaolin Temple. It is one of 72 monasteries in Songshan, Zhongyue. It is located at the southern foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Zhongyue, hence the name Shao Shi Temple, which is called the south gate of Shaolin Temple.
