Introduction to Jack Town

Jack Town of Changning County is located in the upper reaches of Kuke River Basin, a tributary of Nujiang River in western Yunnan, bordering Tianyuan Town, the political, economic and cultural center of Changning County in the east and Longyang District of Baoshan City in the west. Bao Yun Highway connects National Highway 2 14 and National Highway 320, running through Jack from east to west, with a transit line of 28 kilometers. It is a transportation hub from Baoshan and Dehong to Changning and Lincang, with an area of 2 1 1 square kilometer and a population of 28,000. There are 1 1 village committees and 139 villagers' groups. Cultivated land area is 3442 1 mu, and forestland area is 107556 mu. In 2004, the total rural economic income of the town reached 96.97 million yuan. Jack has superior natural conditions, rich natural resources such as land, light and heat, water conservancy and six pillar industries such as grain, sugar cane, tobacco, animal husbandry and fruits and vegetables.
