Jing 'an Temple, also known as Jing 'an Ancient Temple, is located in Jing 'an District, Shanghai. Its history can be traced back to the tenth year of Sun Wu Chiwu in the Three Kingdoms (247), and it was originally named Hudu Chongxuan Temple. In the first year of Xiangfu in Song Dynasty (1008), it was renamed Jing 'an Temple. In the ninth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (12 16), the temple was moved from Wusong River to Lupu Boiling Well (now Nanjing West Road), which was built before Shanghai. Jing 'an Temple has a total construction area of 22,000 square meters. The whole temple forms the pattern of front hall and rear tower.
