The teachings of Buddhism

There are too many Buddhist classics to read in my spare time. Master China wants to read all the Buddhist scriptures. The most common way is to isolate yourself from the secular environment of society and shut yourself in a room in a temple. After several years of reading and experience, we can understand all Buddhist scriptures to some extent. Like myself, I have lived this life for six years. As for ordinary people, for example, there are many scholars who specialize in Buddhist classics in universities and teach them to students. They seldom make a comprehensive study of all Buddhist scriptures, and at the same time, they can't understand Buddhist scriptures accurately because of their lack of practical experience in practice. At best, they only get some impressions from the surface of the text. But the teachings of Buddhism are not as difficult as most people think in principle. Its basic ideas are only four: bitterness, emptiness, impermanence and selflessness.

(1) suffering

If a person has no feelings for suffering, it is not easy for him to be alert to himself, let alone sympathize with others. Therefore, there is a school in the United States that gives every student a week to experience the pain of physical disability in the course of cultivating students' moral life. In other words, students are blindfolded, tied with legs or tied with hands. As a result, these students' sympathy is particularly high and their spirit of mutual assistance is particularly remarkable.

Of course, there are some people in the human mind who don't admit that the suffering mentioned by Buddhism is true. We have no intention of persuading anyone. Buddhism just wants to tell people who want to know what the fundamental teachings of Buddhism are. In Buddhist scriptures, there are several different classifications for the interpretation of the concept of suffering. Today, I want to introduce five categories, namely:

(1) Suffering ── including four kinds of suffering, which is well known: life, old age, illness and death.

Judging from the knowledge of modern people, babies are unconscious when they are born, so they should be unknown.

Bitter or not, so this new word points out that as far as the fact of life is concerned, people are born because they are born.

With his health, he was destined to get sick, get old and die. Some people die before they are old, or

I don't know what disease it was in the end, but he can't help dying. The so-called "birds are dying, and their songs are also sad; Men's generals

Death is a good word. "The reason is a kind of helpless pain caused by death. year

Lighter people, especially the strong, are less likely to accept religious beliefs because they are right.

The feeling of pain is not too strong.

(2) Bitterness-Some people object to the Buddhist saying that "people are suffering when they are alive". They think,

Although there are painful experiences in life, there are also happy occasions, such as "I met in a foreign land after a long drought."

Therefore, it is a great pleasure in life to have a wedding night and be nominated for the gold medal. To this end, Buddha

Religion has not been ignored, but Buddhism wants to further point out to you that there are no ungrateful flowers and there are no flowers on the earth.

A never-ending feast. If we study from the fact that the world phase is born, completed, mutated, returned and disappeared.

Although there will be beautiful moments occasionally, its ending will eventually disappear. So some people are not successful.

Before, I had a hard time, and when I succeeded, I would be swayed by considerations of gain and loss. Before I retired, I had already

Worried about the next step after retirement. In short, the world is constantly changing.

You can't catch anything that makes you feel absolutely reliable.

(3) Don't blame others-we often hear that when people are frustrated, they will take "the world is not satisfactory,

Often nine times out of ten "this sentence to comfort myself. Born in the world, it is impossible to have nothing to ask for, the most basic.

What we want is food, clothes and the opposite sex. Secondly, if you have spare capacity, you should seek fame, wealth and power.

Potential. The greater a person's ability, the higher his desire. Some people ask nothing for themselves,

But you have to seek benefits for others. In fact, there are not many things that are responsive in the world.

You must pay the same price before you get it.

(4) Resentment is bitter-in this world, there are often many things you like, but the good times are short and the road is narrow.

Happy things are hard to stay the same, but things you hate often appear in your life.

(5) Love parting-whether it is parents' flesh and blood, husband and wife's affection, best friend, where will you go, but

The most heartbreaking thing. Some people, you love him so hard, but he doesn't love you; Although some people

Love each other, but there are circumstances that have to be separated; Although some people are together all their lives, they can't avoid death.

There are first and then.

The above five kinds of sufferings are our human feelings, because our body and mind are the results of past actions, which Buddhism calls bitter causes and bitter fruits. If it is not stopped in time, the causal cycle will never end. The way to stop suffering is to practice, which will be discussed next time.

(2) Empty

Buddhism is called an empty door, so in Hong Kong, some gamblers are afraid to meet nuns in the street in the morning. They are superstitious, bald in an empty door will make them lose both ethereal and bright. In fact, Buddhist emptiness doesn't mean that at all. If you don't understand the word "karma" in Buddhism, you can't understand the "emptiness" in Buddhism.

What do you mean? The so-called "karma" means that the formation and destruction of things in the world have their own factors. Buddhism calls this factor "karma", and the relationship between this factor and factors is called "karma". It is precisely because all things and phenomena are accomplished by many factors. If all the factors are decomposed, no particular thing or phenomenon can exist. Buddhism, the way to get rid of people's troubles, first makes you understand that everything in the world is a temporary illusion composed of various factors. These hallucinations make you hallucinate about their existence. In fact, there is nothing but factors. Factors are changing and things are changing. If you understand this truth, you will not covet what you are satisfied with and resent what you are not satisfied with. It can be seen that the word "empty" in Buddhism does not mean that there is nothing, but that you should not take it to heart after trying to preach it. That's the best way to get rid of your troubles. Therefore, from the interpretation of the meaning of "empty", we must also understand that it will tell us the following two meanings:

(1) impermanence-the phenomenon of all things is a temporary activity in which various factors gather and disperse, as long as it is made up of

When the position and shape of elements change, the aggregation and dispersion activities of things also change. Buddhism puts this kind of

The stage of gathering and dispersing activities can be divided into four forms: "life, residence, difference and extinction" These four forms, never.

Do not stay, so it is impermanent, not eternal.

(2) There is no self-human beings have more troubles than other animals, just because human beings have more self-concepts than others.

Animals are more intense. Self-concept brings selfish behavior, and every encounter conforms to this selfish behavior.

Conflicting things will bring trouble. The basic factor of self-concept is our body.

Then gradually expand outward, with my property, my family, my reputation, my career, my

Power, my thoughts and so on. People try to maintain these concepts of "I" and "mine".

This is why I'm in trouble. From the "causal" point of view, Buddhism encourages us to be positive.

Open; From the perspective of karma, Buddhism advocates giving up my opinion. Everything in the world, Bao

Everyone's body and mind are the illusion caused by karma, and I can't be found at all.

Where ideas can take root. So it is "no self". However, here is only a theoretical analysis for you.

Let you know that your "self" is neither reliable nor true, when you have any pain, you can't immediately.

When you solve it, you might as well try to think about it, at least you can reduce some resentment and resentment caused by pain.

Melancholy as for personally experiencing the physical, spiritual and cosmic realm of "no self", that is after enlightenment.

If you want to be enlightened, you must practice it yourself.

I hope it helps you! amitabha
