How do Taoist priests practice in Wudang Mountain?

Taoist priests in Wudang Mountain practice like this. Although they have passed through Taizipo every day for fifteen years, they have never entered the gate of Taizipo. It turns out that they want to spend every minute on improving their monasticism.

On June 3rd this year, my son Zhen Hao and I made a special trip to accompany Mr. Li Ziyang, the administrative director of Beihang Investment Co., Ltd., and Mr. Bie, the boss of a military enterprise, to convert to Wudang Gate, and two bosses of a deep enterprise went to Wudang Mountain to meet their mentor, President Li Guangfu.

Master issued conversion certificates to Mr. Li Ziyang and Mr. Biezong, who converted to Wudang Mountain Gate and became the 25th generation disciples of Quanzhen Longmen School.

Two distinguished guests from Shenzhen arrived at Zixiao Palace on the 4th. After being warmly received by Master, we were allowed to move freely on the mountain. Brother Yong Yang accompanied us to visit Jinding, Taiwan Province and Taizipo. Under the introduction of Brother Yong Yang, I learned some unknown stories about Wudang Mountain.

In the middle of the picture above is Brother Yong Yang.

After the Jinding, Yong Yang pointed to a small stone house in the upper right corner and said, "This small stone house is the oldest architectural relic of Wudang Mountain, which was built in the Yuan Dynasty".

The stone statues inside are all original objects left over from the Yuan Dynasty and belong to national treasures.

These national treasures and cultural relics are located in an inconspicuous place. Without guidance, you will definitely miss the opportunity to witness them.

What shocked us most was the above two pictures (the distant view and enlarged photos of the same mountain). This mountain is diagonally opposite to Qiongtai Palace, to the left of Jinding Tianzhu Peak, slightly lower than Tianzhu Peak. Brother Yang said that there is a big cave on this mountain with a six-story wooden pavilion. In ancient times, Taoist priests practiced there behind closed doors, and many people achieved positive results. Yong Yang brothers have been there once, and they need acquaintances to lead the way or give directions to get there. The journey is particularly rugged and dangerous. He needs to bring enough dry food, drinking water and flashlights. Brother Yong Yang took a dozen bottles of mineral water and biscuits when he went up, so he needed to prevent them from slipping. If you are thirsty, you can continue your strength and avoid the harm of wild animals before you can survive. The route is to go down to the bottom of the valley and then climb to the top of the mountain. Many places have to be stuck on the stone wall, and you can only get there with your hands and feet. In some places, your feet are trembling and you dare not look down. If you fall, it's a cliff. It took Brother Yong Yang more than four hours to climb into the cave. There are six wooden pavilions in the cave, and the floor is rotten in some places, so you need to walk carefully.

Before we found out where Chu was, my brother pointed out the location of this cave, which is the place in the red circle in the above picture. I wonder, how did the six-story pavilion get up in such a steep place? How is the carpenter's biography handled? How are many architectural problems solved? …

After marveling, I asked my brother to take us to see the architectural wonders of Taizipo and "one column and twelve beams". Friar Yong Yang said, "I have been a monk here for fifteen years. Although it often passes in front of Taizipo, it has not yet entered the gate of Taizipo. It's just right to go in with you today! " ! After listening to my brother's words, I was extremely ashamed. Brother Yang is diligent in spiritual practice and dedicated to his career. Our arrival delayed his practice. The brothers of Wudang Mountain used to practice hard! I'm really not qualified to call them brothers.

Since I came to Taizipo, this is the first time that Brother Yang has set foot in this door. I suggest that we take a picture together as a souvenir.

On the origin of Taizipo;

According to legend, the prince of Jingle Kingdom (who later became the founder of Zhenwu Mountain) entered Wudang Mountain for training at the age of fifteen, and originally lived on this slope, hence the name Taizipo. After practicing here for a period of time, the prince could not bear the pain of practicing and wanted to go down the mountain and return to the secular world. He went to the needle grinding well, turned Ziyuan Zhenjun into a pestle, and then came back here to practice hard, hence the name "Restoring the View of Truth".

The current concept of "truth revival" was founded in the 11th year of Yongle (14 13), the 29th year of Kangxi (1690) and the 23rd year of Qianlong (1758). This view of the building makes full use of a narrow area on steep slopes and dangerous rocks, carries out vertical and horizontal sequence layout, and perfectly combines the building with the environment. It is one of the relatively complete grand views of the whole mountain.

"One column supports the tower immortal, and the five clouds protect the pavilion to make it shine" This is a couplet hanging at the twelve beams of one column of the five clouds pavilion in Taizipo.

This is the world-famous "one column and twelve beams".

The architectural miracle of one column and twelve beams

The Wuyun Building of Taizipoyuan is built on the mountain, commonly known as "five-story building", with all-wood structure, hard top, small blue tile roof and hanging beam wooden frame. The floor width is 5 rooms 2 1 m, the depth is 8. 15 m, the total height is 15.8 m, and the construction area is 544.47 square meters. There are 12 beams on the top floor, which overlap and are supported by a column. This is a masterpiece of ancient wood structure-"one column and twelve beams". Although Cang Sang has gone through hundreds of years, it is still intact and strong, which is a miracle of ancient architecture.

Li Xuanxin, vice president of Wudang Mountain Taoist Association, said, "There are Taoists who have not eaten for more than two years in Zixiao Palace ..." When discussing with us how to avoid practicing life function in Taoism. As far as I know, there is a layman brother who spends the night in Zixiao Palace and goes to the morning class at 4 am. He knelt on the steps outside Zixiao Palace and suddenly found a white-haired old man kneeling beside him. He was surprised and asked, "I am an old yogi in Houshan." Looking back, he didn't see a white-haired old man. At 4 o'clock in the morning, the gate of Zixiao Palace was not opened, and people outside could not get in. Many people say, "These are many unknown old immortals on Wudang Mountain. They are all hundreds of years old, even older, and only those who have immortal lives can see them. "

There are countless anecdotes about Wudang Mountain. How many unknown stories are there in Wudang Mountain? I have an appointment with Chief Li Xuanxin and Brother Yong Yang to come to this mountain again in the autumn. I will go to Wudang Wonderland with two senior brothers, and tell the secret story of Wudang in detail, with pictures and texts dedicated to all those who love Wudang Wonderland and Taoism.
