Can garlic really ward off evil spirits?

To say whether garlic can ward off evil spirits, we must first say that there is no such thing as ward off evil spirits. I personally believe in science, so in my opinion, garlic is unnecessary to ward off evil spirits. Because if you really believe in ghosts and gods, then you should also believe in the Buddhist saying,' If you accumulate virtue for good, you will be blessed'. In short, garlic is not needed to ward off evil spirits.
