According to historical records, xingguo temple was founded in Zhenguan 19 in Tang Dynasty. When Emperor Taizong was in Li Shimin, he stayed in Dacheng Mountain for one night and then returned home in triumph. He built a temple here for the sake of national prosperity and security, and named it Datang xingguo temple. The temple was destroyed in the Tangshan earthquake in 1976 and has been abandoned for decades. The reconstructed Datang xingguo temple is located in the south of the main peak of Dacheng Mountain in lubei district, Tangshan City, covering an area of more than 70 mu. Surrounded by green mountains and green waters and lush vegetation, it is close to Phoenix Mountain.
