Zhonghua Temple was founded in the prosperous Tang Dynasty with a history of 1000 years. According to legend, Kevin·Z, the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, saw the Lingshan Mountain in Long Mai, east of China, while watching the celestial phenomena at night. Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, was afraid that it would threaten the Tang Dynasty, so he supervised the construction of the world-famous Lingshan Temple. The dragon was killed by Zhenlong, but the two dragons were lucky enough to escape, with the word "Zhong" on their heads, incarnating the python fairy of Lingshan, one protecting the dragon king of the town and the other protecting the people, praying for good weather and peace and prosperity.

In the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi, who returned to his hometown to worship his ancestors, heard the story of the dragon in Lingshan Temple Town of the Tang Dynasty and came to Lingshan to make a wish, hoping to unify the whole country and achieve peace and prosperity. After Emperor Kangxi recovered Taiwan Province Province and put down the San Francisco Rebellion, he returned to the temple and fulfilled his long-cherished wish. In order to thank two pythons for their help, he expanded Lingshan Temple and renamed it Zhonghua Temple.

Unfortunately, this famous Brahma Temple with a long history was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, which led to the collapse of the ancient temple and the silence of the bells and drums for decades. In 2000, the Zhonghua Temple was rebuilt. The rebuilt Zhonghua Temple was designed by the famous Tongji University and covers an area of 1.800 mu. The whole building adopts the architectural style of Tang Dynasty, integrating Buddhism and Taoism, which is magnificent.

At present, the scenic spot of Zhonghua Temple is composed of natural landscapes such as Zhonghua Temple, Wanshou Palace, Buddhist prayer hall, lecture hall, Buddhist pagoda, Chinese Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda, magical Guanyin Cave and Python Fairy Cave.
