Huá cáng, also known as "Huazang", is short for Lotus-Tibetan World (or Huazang World). In Buddhist language, Huazang refers to Nigumei, True God, Pilushena Buddha and Pure Land. It is the bliss of Buddhism, consisting of countless small worlds hidden in lotus flowers.
Whether Huazang Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty is unknown, but according to Meishan County Records, "Huazang Temple (meishan county) ruled the south for three miles. The present Huazang Temple was approved by the Religious Affairs Bureau of Sichuan Provincial Government 1999. At present, only Tianwang Temple has been built, and other temples are under construction. To the north of Tianwang Temple is Guanyin Hall, which is under construction. In front of guanyin temple, a lush litchi tree is said to have been planted by Su Dongpo himself. There is a monument under the tree, engraved with the Buddhist relationship between Su Shi and Huazang Temple.
