What are the stories of Ou Yangxun?

Ou Yangxun (557-64 1) was born in Linxiang, Tanzhou (now Changsha, Hunan). The famous calligrapher Ou Yangxun, Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang and Xue Qi are also called "four schools in the early Tang Dynasty". Ou Yangxun's "Ou Ti" regular script, together with "Yan Ti" (Yan Zhenqing), "Liu Ti" (Liu Gongquan) and "Zhao Ti" (Zhao Mengfu), is called "the four regular scripts in the history of China calligraphy".

? The story about Ou Yangxun is mainly recommended as follows:

First, about life experience and being an official? Ou Yangxun was born in a noble family, and his father Ouyang Yi went to Guangzhou to be a secretariat during the Chen Dynasty.

? The novel Biography of the White Ape in the early Tang Dynasty wrote such a story: Ouyang Yang's wife went south with her husband and was captured by the white ape on the way. Ouyang Yi found his wife and killed the white ape. When his wife came back, she gave birth to a son, Ou Yangxun. Therefore, Ou Yangxun is ugly.

This story was used by the Tang people to denigrate Ou Yangxun. Because Ou Yangxun is thin and looks like an ape ("thin and ape-like"), someone slandered him under a pseudonym at that time.

? His father Ouyang was later killed for treason. According to the criminal law at that time, his son Ou Yangxun should be included in the collective punishment. Ministers of the Chen Dynasty regarded President Jiang and Ouyang Gui as old friends, so they adopted Ou Yangxun and he survived.

After the demise of the Sui Dynasty in 589, the 32-year-old became an official of the Sui Dynasty, working with the general manager Jiang. Tang Gaozu Tang Gaozu was a close friend of Ou Yangxun before he proclaimed himself emperor. After Li Yuan established the Li Tang Dynasty, Ou Yangxun also became an official of the Tang Dynasty, which was highly valued by Li Yuan and Li Shimin. During the Zhenguan period of Emperor Taizong, together with Yu Shinan and Feng Chengsu, he was awarded a bachelor's degree in Hong Wen Pavilion, the highest scholar at that time, specializing in teaching calligraphy. Later, Ou Yangxun was appointed as the Prince, and he was promoted to Doctor Guanglu of Yin Qing, and was made the Duke of Bohai. So, later generations also called him "Ouyang Lvgeng"? "Ouyang Bohai" and so on.

Ou Yangxun was praised as a first-class calligrapher by Emperor Taizong and Li Shimin. He was invited to write his masterpiece "Literature and Art Collection" with Pei Ju and Chen He, with a total volume of 100.

Second, according to legend, Ou Yangxun saw a stone tablet on the roadside when he went out to visit the landscape. He looked at it on horseback and found that the words on the stone tablet were carved by Suo Jing, a calligrapher in the Western Jin Dynasty. Ou Yangxun thought that the calligraphy on the stone tablet was ordinary, and he couldn't see any subtleties, so he rode away.

But just a few steps later, Ou Yangxun had another idea: since Suo Jing is a famous calligrapher, his calligraphy must have its own unique style and something commendable. So, he turned his horse's head again, stopped in front of the stone tablet, dismounted and carefully watched the words engraved on the stone tablet.

He spent three days and three nights repeatedly observing the lettering on the stone tablet, and slowly discovered the charm of these words, thus realizing the exquisiteness of these words.

It is because of Ou Yangxun's diligence and obsession with calligraphy that his calligraphy has become more and more exquisite. During the period of Tang Wude, envoys as far away as Korea (located in present-day Korean Peninsula) also came to Chang 'an to ask for Ou Yangxun's calligraphy.

Third, about humor "Datang Xinyu" recorded the story of Sun Chang Wuji and Ou Yangxun joking with each other. Sun Chang Wuji is the younger brother of the eldest grandson queen. One day, after dealing with the official business of the imperial court, he had a tea chat with Emperor Taizong and Ou Yangxun. Sun Chang Wuji wrote poems to tease and laugh at Ou Yangxun. He said, "You can shrug your shoulders and bury your shoulders. Who is on the pavilion, draw this macaque. " These jingles mean: when you lift your shoulders, you become a "mountain" and you can't get out with your head buried. Who painted such a macaque on Qilin Pavilion? Ou Yangxun also replied to Sun Chang Wuji, saying, "My head is warm even with my back, but I'm afraid my stomach will be cold under my legs. Just because of my heart, I am surrounded. " It means that Sun Chang Wuji has a short neck and a big belly. He is a mess all day and looks like dough. Emperor Taizong laughed and said, "Aren't you afraid of being scolded by your eldest grandson?" Ou Yangxun said with a smile: The queen is very generous, not like the bear of her eldest grandson at all! "

Finally, let me talk about Ou Yangxun's main calligraphy achievements: Ou Yangxun calligraphy handed down from ancient times includes Jiuchenggong Liquan Ming, Huangfu Birthday Monument, Huadu Temple Yong Zen Master Monument, Yugong Wenyanbo Monument, Jiuge Monument, Historical Posture, Hans Zhang Posture, Shang Bo Posture, Dream Temple Post and Thousand-character Monument. There are also "thirty-six plans" and other book theories.
