Ai Qing's main works

Ai Qing, a native of Zhejiang, is a famous modern poet and writer in China. There are many of his works, some of which have entered primary and secondary school textbooks. Many of his poems contain words such as the sun and the torch, which shows the poet's hatred of the old society and his desire for light and progress. In addition, his poems also describe a lot of love for working people and land, which is simple but full of power.

His most famous work is definitely Dayan River-My Nanny. Besides, there are many poems, including Song of Return, North, Anti-Fascism, I Love This Land, Facing the Sun and so on. 1933, he published the first collection of poems and songs, which is the Dayan River mentioned earlier. In April1year, after he arrived in Yan 'an, he deeply felt the fierceness of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, wrote a lot of poems, and published 9 collections of poems and songs that year. And deeply yearn for the arrival of light and hope.

After New China, his writing was interrupted for more than 20 years because he was classified as a rightist. After 79 years, he started his second creation, including Song of Return and Snow Lotus. 1985, Ai Qing won the highest literary and artistic medal awarded by France, which is also a great international recognition of his poetry. In his later years, that is, in the 1990s, Ai Qing basically had no new poetry creation, mainly because he was old and his body was no longer allowed to be too tired. Ai Qing finally left us completely due to illness on 1996.
