Therefore, Emperor Qianlong had a plan in mind and said, "Liu Yong, I order you to recite a poem with yourself as the topic, which must be five words and eight sentences. If you do well, you will be reused. Otherwise, you can't go to high school! " But seeing Liu Yong meditate for a moment, he sang impromptu: "My chest is full and my back is hunched. One-eyed distinguishes between loyalty and treachery, and jumps over the dragon gate with one leg. Dan Xin helped the country and thanked Huang En for painting his brain ... "Speaking of which, he stopped short and stopped talking. Emperor Qianlong said, "Isn't there two more sentences?" Liu Yong said: "I dare not say the following two sentences." Gan Long urged him to speak quickly. Liu Yong hesitated for a moment, then reluctantly said, "If I have to talk, I beg the emperor to promise not to kill me." Gan Long said, "I promise I won't kill you." Liu Yong slowly recited the last two sentences: "Is it a virtuous person to judge a person by his appearance?" Qianlong was immediately impressed by Liu Yong's talent, and gradually Liu Yong was reused by the emperor.

On one occasion, Emperor Qianlong visited Anzhou incognito. One day, they passed a place called Liu Zhuangzi, thirsty and hungry. Just in time for a family wedding and banquet. Lu Yong had a brainwave and said to Gan Long, "Huang San Ye, let's also send a gift! That's why there will be food. " Gan Long nodded in agreement. Flowers meet again, adding another 37 years.

People come and go in the street, so lively. There is a plaque hanging horizontally on a high gate building facing the street, which reads "Renhe Poetry Society". When Qianlong saw it, his heart itched, so he took Liu Yong and said, "Come on, go inside and join in the fun!"

As soon as I entered the door, I saw a quadrangle, which was small but quiet. There is a long table in the corridor of the principal's office, on which there are gifts such as folding fans, sweat towels, jade fingers and snuff bottles. Behind the long table sat a refined scholar, who seemed to be only in his twenties and was the owner of the club. There is also a box in the corridor of two houses. There are Four Treasures of the Study on the long list and various poems and songs on the wall. There are more than a dozen people in the corridor, looking at the papers and thinking about poetry. Gan Long and liuyong came to the first house, met the owner, hung up their numbers and signed their names. Qianlong claimed to be a native of Shuntianfu, Beijing, Gao Tianci as his surname, and Liu Yong only said his surname was Liu.

Two people came to the matching room corridor to find questions and sentences. Gan Long had better make a joint sentence, so he said to Liu Yong, "Let's compare joint sentences!" After Liu Yong agreed, they each chose a pair of books. After a while, Liu Yong got it right, and just because Gan Long didn't get it right, he just hung there. After a while, Gan Long clapped his hands and said, "Good!" He turned around and wrote a sentence in front of a long table. Liu Yong also wrote a sentence in a hurry and gave it to the owner together. The shopkeeper saw that Gan Long's elected couplet and antithesis were:

Before the lights in the winter night, Xiahou read the Spring and Autumn Biography;

Upstairs in the East Gate, Nanjing people sing the North West Chamber.

Liu Yongxuan's couplets and antitheses are:

The first three pagodas of Santasi in western Zhejiang and western Zhejiang;

Five-story platform under the North Wutai Mountain in Beijing.

After reading it, the shopkeeper praised it again and again, handed a golden Su Fan to Liu Yong and a sweat towel to Gan Long, saying, "Both poets are right, but in terms of artistic conception, Gao Weng's sentence seems to be less profound than Liu Weng's." Ganlong was unconvinced by this, and then pulled Liu Yong to find a sentence. After a while, two people handed a couplet to the owner. The couplets and antitheses of "think and act, act and act" are:

Cut the jujube thorns and split them into four bundles to pay wages;

Changmen moved from one house to another, making up more and earning less for double rooms.

Liu Yongxuan's couplets and antitheses are:

Qilishan Road is three and a half miles halfway;

Jiuxi Mandong passes through underground caves and five streams.

The owner of the club soon took some more gifts for the two men. He stood up and said, "You two poets are really wizards. You were born late here! "

On another occasion, Qianlong invited the minister to see a play, and when he saw that there were no banners and ribbons on the stage, he asked them to write a couplet and stick it on it. At that time, a minister took a photo:

According to the law, breaking the cold world,

Borrow clothes and talk about ancient and modern human feelings.

Gan Long thought this couplet was too beautiful for ordinary people to understand, so he asked ministers to redo it. I made several in a row, but I was not satisfied. Qianlong suddenly thought of a picture:

Three or five people can do it with thousands of troops,

But at that time the unexpected bottom allied, was anxious, Lu Yong sitting next to the bottom allied:

Go around the world in six or seven steps.

Gan Long listened to repeated praise, and ordered people to write it down in red paper and stick it on the edge of the table.

On one occasion, Liu Yong was really stumped by a tricky couplet written by Gan Long. The thing is, one summer, it was hot, and Liu Yong was ordered to enter the palace and report to the emperor. Liu Yong, dressed in royal clothes, was sweating with heat. Seeing this, Qianlong ordered the eunuch to bring him two watermelons to relieve the heat. Got Liu's reward and stammered rudely. Just as he was eating melon and spitting seeds, Gan Long suddenly had a brainwave and made a couplet saying, "Sit facing south, eat watermelon, and the seeds go east."

It seems simple at first glance, but this couplet is very particular. Sitting facing south is static, eating watermelon and melon seeds is dynamic. The simple word 1 1 contains three things and four directions. Liu Yong struggled for a long time and did not come up. Will he really be stumped by Talented Persons and Beautiful Women? No, not that you can't be right, but that you can't be right. "Sit facing south", which means emperor. Afraid of committing the crime of deceiving the monarch, he had to admit that he was not worthy, saying, "Not only am I not worthy, but no one in the whole Qing Dynasty is worthy."
