Wang Yao Ancient Town is located near Nanxin Zhuangzi and Anjia Wang Yao Village, Gaoxing Town, Lanshan District, Rizhao City. It is 7 km away from Rizhao City/KLOC-0 in the north and 5km away from the Yellow Sea in the east.

The ancient town of Wang Yao, also known as Yaowangcheng site, is about 630 meters long from east to west and 825 meters long from north to south, with a total area of about 520,000 square meters. Cultural accumulation is about 2-3.5 meters. The central part of the site is 4-5 meters higher than the surrounding ground, and it has been called "Medicine King City" since ancient times. It is a site dominated by Longshan culture in Neolithic Age, with the remains of Shang, Zhou and Han Dynasties on the surface.

Cultural relics:

The relics unearthed from Yaowangcheng site include pottery, stone tools, jade and a small number of bones. Pottery includes muddy sand mixed with black pottery, gray pottery, red pottery and white pottery. Among them, red pottery and white pottery are only found in pots.

The main types of pottery are pots, pots, cans, plates, cups, cans, lids, spinning wheels, clay knives, net pendants and so on. Axe, spear, knife, Tang and chisel are common stone tools, while spear, hook, sickle and spinning wheel are rare. Bone instruments mainly include bone arrows.
