Brief introduction of Kunming golden palace

Located at the foot of Mingfeng Mountain, 7 kilometers northeast of Kunming, the Golden Temple in Kunming is a famous Taoist temple in Yunnan. The main hall of Taoist temple is made of bronze, and its color is very dazzling, so it is called "Golden Hall".

Jin Dian was built in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. At that time, it was modeled after Chen Yongbin, Governor of Hubei Province, who built the Hall of Supreme Harmony and Jin Dian in Tianzhu Peak of Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province. It is mainly dedicated to the Zhenwu Emperor in the Arctic. The surrounding brick walls are well protected, and the towers, palace gates and other facilities are perfect. It is also called the Hall of Supreme Harmony.

The building of Jindian is square, with a side length of 6. 15m and a height of 6.7m Almost all the building components are cast or forged in copper. This building is not only very strong, but also very beautiful in appearance. There are marble railings, steps, royal roads and terraces outside the hall.

It has been more than 380 years since Jin Dian was built. After the reconstruction of Wu Sangui in the early Qing Dynasty, it was written with the words "Ten years of Qing Emperor Kangxi, 1911, Daluyue, 10 auspicious days, Prince Zunlou on Wu Sangui Day". After suppressing the peasant uprising, Wu Sangui led the troops to live in Kunming, and then rebuilt the guild hall.

Throughout the Qing Dynasty, Jindian experienced earthquakes and military disasters. The biggest damage was that during the Cultural Revolution, temples collapsed, statues were destroyed and deserted everywhere. It was not until 1999 that the government renovated it to welcome the Kunming World Expo.
