Overview of Yongxing Town
Yongxing Market, formerly known as Masangping, was renamed Xingchang when it opened on July 22nd in the second year of Wanli of Ming Dynasty (1574). At that time, it was a place where thousands of merchants and department stores gathered, and Guizhou Province and the big market also participated. The market town is one street and eight lanes, which is willow-shaped. The eaves on both sides of the street are very long, and the two-meter-wide stone road on the street is Roman Road. When it rains down the street facing south, it becomes a depression and you can't walk for three or five days. In order to facilitate walking, there are twelve stone piers on each side of the street, forming twenty-four dry jumping piers. Longquan Castle on the street is a classic flower arrangement field, which has the saying that one foot steps on three counties, namely, Meitan in the southwest, Shibing in the southeast and Shiqian in the northwest. Due to the special geographical conditions at that time, the market town formed the ideal golden triangle for businessmen from all over the world. The prosperity of market trade should be inseparable from this.
