How did Hong Kong people get their names?

Most Hong Kong people choose Chinese names first, then find a similar English entry name, such as Zu Er-Joey, or create a nice English entry name, such as Yi Shu, so they named it Suki. There are also many Chinese names that have nothing to do with English entry names. Some take English names first. I know a man whose parents first took his English name Ludwig (actually German, from Beethoven) and then his Chinese name Le Ying. There are also many families whose names are arranged by generation. For example, babies of that generation were named Xiang (), and descendants of Confucius followed this rule. You will hear many names of Kong Xiang () and Kong Fan ().
