Yuanzhou District, located in the west of Jiangxi Province, is one of the ancient cities in Jiangxi Province, which was set up in the early Western Han Dynasty. In addition to the three kingdoms to the southern dynasties, which was divided into Jingzhou in about 300 years, and was politically, economically and culturally related to Hunan, the rest 1000 years belonged to Zhangyu county and Jiangxi province. Yuanzhou in the east, Wanzai and Shanggao in the north, Pingxiang in the west, Anfu in the south and Hunan in the northwest. The distance between east and west is 70 kilometers, and the distance between north and south is 63 kilometers, mostly in hilly areas. The obligee of Yichun River is also influenced by the neighboring county Gan dialect when communicating in the local language. After a long period of development and change, the present Yichun dialect has been formed.

Yichun dialect is a branch of Gan dialect, which has both commonness and local characteristics. From the internal differences, it can be divided into four roads: ① Northeast Road: Binjiang, Lucun, Mu Bai and Zhaimu. ② North Road: Sanyang, Tang Hong, Jin Rui, Dingfeng Mountain and Nanmu. ③ Northwest Road: Zhu Ting, Tiantai, Jiang Shui and Huaji. ④ Zhongnan Road: Chuntai, Xiapu, Hutian, Wojiang, Xintian, Liaoshi, Xicun, Wentang, Nanmiao, Hongjiang and Fang Xin. Chuntai on Zhongnan Road is the seat of the district government, and Xiapu, Hutian, Wojiang and Xintian are close to the urban area. No.4 Road is almost the same. Everything in the downtown area is Yuanzhou Mandarin, and all people can speak it, but you can still hear which direction the speaker is from.
