China's marriage law stipulates that women can only get married when they are 20 years old and men can only get married when they are 22 years old. Late marriage refers to the minimum marriage age stipulated in Article 6 of the Marriage Law, that is, if a man is 25 years old and a woman is over 23 years old, both men and women will marry late for three years.

Late childbearing refers to a married woman who has reached the age of 24 or is pregnant and gives birth to her first child after late marriage. Late marriage and late childbearing are policies encouraged by our country. Chinese law stipulates that citizens can get rewards or other welfare benefits if they extend their marriage leave and maternity leave.

The total number of days of late marriage leave in various places is 10-30 days. The whole country is inconsistent, and there are regulations on population and family planning in various places. Most provinces and cities extend or increase the number of marriage leave days (plus sexual relations), and some directly stipulate the number of marriage leave days that meet the requirements of late marriage (inclusive relations).

Since the revised "Population and Family Planning Law" was deliberated and passed in the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) on February 27th, 20 15, family planning regulations in various places have been revised one after another. According to the survey, at least nine provinces including Anhui, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hubei, Tianjin, Zhejiang and Ningxia have officially promulgated new family planning regulations. In these nine places, the late marriage leave was abolished in the new regulations, and some adjustments were made to maternity leave, male paternity leave and nursing leave. After adjustment, the marriage leave in Shanxi is 30 days, the maternity leave in Anhui and Jiangxi is 158 days, and the male paternity leave in Guangxi and Ningxia is extended to 25 days.

In addition, the draft amendments to the family planning regulations in Beijing, Jilin, Liaoning, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan and other places have been soliciting opinions or waiting for the provincial people's congresses to consider and pass.
