Ya 'an, a prefecture-level city in Sichuan Province, is located at the western edge of Sichuan Basin, at the foot of Qionglai Mountain, with Chengdu in the east, Ganzi in the west, Liangshan in the south and Aba in the north, 0/20km away from Chengdu/KLOC. It belongs to the mountainous area on the western edge of Sichuan Basin, spanning Sichuan Basin and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Ya 'an is located at the intersection of Sichuan-Tibet and Sichuan-Yunnan highways, 20 kilometers away from Chengdu/KLOC-0.
