Where is Wenshan in Yunnan?

Wenshan city, the capital of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, in the west of Wenshan Prefecture, bordering Yanshan County in the northeast, Maguan County in the south, Xichou County in the southeast, mengzi city in Honghe Prefecture in the west and Pingbian County across a river. It is the seat of Wenshan Prefecture Committee and government, and the political, economic and cultural information center of the whole state.

With a total area of 2,977 square kilometers, as of March 20021year, there were three streets, seven towns and seven townships in wenshan city, with a total of 14 1 village committee (community). The total population is 5 1.32 million (registered population). There are more than 10 ethnic groups living in the territory, including Han, Zhuang, Miao, Yi, Hui and Dai.

Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is an ethnic autonomous prefecture under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, which is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, the southwest border of China.
