The development of history

The county was originally a part of ancient times, belonging to the State of Wu in the early Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Yue when Wu died, the State of Chu in the Warring States Period, Donghai County in the early Qin Dynasty, Dongyang County in the late Qin Dynasty and Sheyang County in the early Han Dynasty.
