Liping County is a county under the jurisdiction of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province. It is located in the southeast of Guizhou Province and the south of Qiandongnan Prefecture. It borders Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County and Tongdao Dong Autonomous County in Hunan Province in the east, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south, Rongjiang County and congjiang county in Qiandongnan Prefecture in the west, and Jinping County and Jianhe County in Qiandongnan Prefecture in the north. It is the bridgehead of Guizhou bordering on two lakes in the east and Guangdong and Guangxi in the south.

In the second year of the Republic of China (19 13), the original mansion, prefecture and hall were all changed to counties, and the abandoned mansion was set up in Liping County and Hongzhou County (now Liping Shuikou). Kaitai County moved to Jinping County, which belongs to eastern Guizhou.
