Taboo of Berlin Zen Temple —— What should I pay attention to when burning incense in Berlin Zen Temple?

Entrance: No matter which temple or buddhist nun, you can't enter directly. Visitors should enter from the left and right gates of the temple, because that is for their families to walk. Crossing the middle threshold, even standing or sitting on the threshold, is a great disrespect for Buddha and Bodhisattva.

Please incense: Every temple has a formal place to invite incense. Don't believe in the so-called rich incense, wisdom incense and longevity incense, and turn simple incense burning into complex and aristocratic incense, misleading pilgrims to buy complete sets at high prices. If you are sincere, it is enough to burn three incense sticks in front of the Buddha in each temple.

Mat: Choose a kowtowing mat. Don't think that the middle one is necessarily the best. It's also for monks.

Worship Buddha: put your hands together, then kneel in front of the Buddha statue with your right hand futon, then knock your head down on the futon with your palms shoulder width up, turn your palms to the ground when you look up, and then get up and fold again.

Xiang: If you are a believer, you don't have to say much. Naturally, you put three incense sticks in the incense burner. The so-called "point three wick incense". If it is just fate, it must be inserted correctly, otherwise it will be considered disrespectful to the Buddha. Go to a special place to light incense, but don't go to the place where incense is inserted, and don't try to light it with your own lighter.

Palm: When worshipping Buddha, the feeling of palm upward is a respect for Buddha. Palm down is ancestor worship.
