Classic folk story: Xin Qiji captured the traitor alive
Most of the people who defected to the rebel army were poor peasants under the cruel oppression of rulers of the Jin Dynasty, and a patriotic intellectual, Xin Qiji.
Xin Qiji was an outstanding writer in the Southern Song Dynasty and a native of Jinan. When he was born, his hometown had fallen into the hands of the rulers of the Jin Dynasty. Grandpa Xinzan worked as a local official in the occupied area of the Jin Dynasty for several years, but his heart has always been guided by the Song Dynasty. Xin Zan often tells his grandson the painful history of the demise of the Northern Song Dynasty and takes Xin Qiji up the mountain to see the great rivers and mountains of the motherland, which has left a deep impression on him.
When Xin Qiji grew up, because of his outstanding literary talent, he was recommended by the Jinan government of the Jin Dynasty to take the Jinshi exam in Yanjing. When he left, Xinzan told him to pay attention to the geographical situation and the internal political situation of the ruler on his way to Yanjing. Xin Qiji went to Yanjing and failed to get into the Jinshi, but he was very concerned about what his grandfather said to him. Three years later, he went to Yanjing to take the exam and got a better understanding of the internal situation of the ruler.
Xinzan died before expecting the Southern Song Dynasty to restore the Central Plains. Xin Qiji is determined to carry on his grandfather's legacy. In the second year, Yan Yanliang invaded South China. 22-year-old Xin Qiji saw the opportunity and organized an uprising team of more than 2,000 people to go to Geng Jing. www.gushi5 1.com
Among the uprising troops in Geng Jing, people with literary talent like Xin Qiji are rare. Geng Jing was very popular when he came to defect to the enemy, and was assigned to be responsible for the paperwork and seals of the rebel army.
Xin Qiji told Geng Jing that there was an insurgent army near Jinan, and its leader was a monk he was familiar with, named Duan Yi, who knew the art of war. Geng Jing was very happy and sent Xin Qiji to contact Duan Yi. A few days later, Duan Yi joined the insurgents in Geng Jing with his team.
After Duan Yi arrived in the Rebel Army, because he was an old acquaintance, he was very close to Xin Qiji, and Xin Qiji had no doubt about Duan Yi. I know Duan Yi is up to no good. One night, Xin Qiji took advantage of people's unprepared, stole the seal of the rebel army he kept and fled to the 8 Jin Army.
Geng Jing was furious at Xin Qiji's introduction of essence, and prepared to execute Xin Qiji.
Xin Qiji said earnestly, "Of course, I am responsible for Duan Yi's escape by stealing seals. Please give me three days to get Duan Yi back. If I can't catch him by the time limit, I am willing to accept heavy punishment. "
Xin Qiji got Geng Jing's consent, so he rode after Jin Ying and soon caught up with Duan Yi. Xin Qiji seized Duan Yi, and the traitor knelt on the ground in fear and begged for mercy. Xin Qiji couldn't hold back his anger. He cut off Duan Yi's head on the spot, tied it on horseback, and returned to Gengjing Camp.
Geng Jing not only didn't do Xin Qiji's crime, but paid more attention to him.
After the quarrying war, nomads were forced to retreat northward. While making peace with the Southern Song Dynasty, Jin Shizong used two methods, namely, wooing and suppressing, in an attempt to disintegrate the rebel army against gold in the north. The rebels in Geng Jing are under serious threat.
Xin Qiji told Geng Jing: "In order to resist gold, we must get in touch with the imperial court and echo the north and south;" In case we can't stay here, we can also withdraw our troops to the south. "
Geng Jing accepted Xin Qiji's suggestion and sent Jia Rui, a rebel general, as a representative to see Song Gaozong in Jiankang. Jia Rui, an illiterate military commander, didn't know how to appear in court and asked Geng Jing to send Xin Qiji with him. Geng Jing agreed.
In A.D. 1 162, Jia Rui and Xin Qiji arrived in Jiankang with a dozen followers. Song Gaozong was very happy when he heard that Shandong Rebel Army sent someone to join him. He summoned them to the official's office that day. Xin Qiji accompanied Jia Rui to the court, calmly read out the memorial he drafted on behalf of the rebel army, and reported on the resistance of the northern rebel army to gold.
Song Gaozong immediately appointed Geng Jing as our Tian Pingjun, and sealed the titles of Jia Rui and Xin Qiji, asking them to go back and convey them to Geng Jing.
Jia Rui and Xin Qiji finished their tasks and happily left Jiankang to go back. Unexpectedly, when I passed by Haizhou (now Lianyungang, Jiangsu), I heard an unfortunate news. It turned out that Geng Jing was killed when they left the rebels.
It was rebel general Zhang Anguo who killed Geng Jing. After the Jin Dynasty stepped up the activities of luring and surrendering, Zhang Anguo colluded with another film to covet the reward of the Jin people. While Geng Jing was unprepared, he broke into the enemy camp and killed Geng Jing. After Zhang Anguo defected to the Jin Army, the Jin Dynasty named the traitor as the state official of Jeju (now Juye, Shandong Province). The rebel army lost its leader and was unwilling to surrender to Zhang Anguo. Most of them are gone.
Xin Qiji was sad and angry when he heard the news. He must get rid of the traitor and avenge Geng Jing. As soon as he consulted with the Shoujiang of Haizhou, many soldiers automatically asked Xin Qiji to withdraw *. Xin Qiji took fifty warriors and rode to Jeju together.
Xin Qiji's motorcade arrived in Jeju, and the traitor Zhang Anguo was hosting a banquet for them. He was a little guilty when he heard that Xin Qiji was coming, but he couldn't figure out their purpose at the moment, so he ordered the soldiers to let them in.
Xin Qiji and the accompanying warriors broke into the hall and saw Zhang Anguo having a banquet and drinking with some rebels. Their eyes were red with anger. They didn't talk to Ann Zhang Guo, so they picked them up. Too many cooks tied Ann Zhang Guo and pulled her out of the government. By the time Jeju soldiers arrived, Zhang Anguo had been tied to his horse.
Soldiers in Jeju saw Xin Qiji's majestic appearance, and no one dared to start work. Xin Qiji announced to the soldiers on the spot: "The imperial army is coming soon. Anyone who wants to resist gold should join our team! "
Most soldiers in Jeju Island used to follow Geng Jing. As soon as they heard Xin Qiji's call, tens of thousands of people were willing to go with them. Xin Qiji immediately took the rebels and traitors and went straight to the south.
Xin Qiji took the traitor to Jiankang Hangying, and the Southern Song Dynasty court found out Zhang Anguo's crime and immediately beheaded him.
After Xin Qiji returned to the south, he was sent to Jiangyin as an official. Despite his humble position, he put forward several anti-gold propositions to the court, but unfortunately they were not adopted. Later, although he served as several local officials and established the "Flying Tiger Army", he never realized his desire to explore the Central Plains in the north. At the age of 42, he was forced to retire by imperial bureaucrats. During his life, he wrote many words reflecting his bold personality and patriotic enthusiasm. His ci plays an important role in the history of China literature.
In the year when Xin Qiji went south, Song Gaozong abdicated and was succeeded by his nephew Zhao Shien. This is Song Xiaozong.
