The courtyard of Shuangjinshi is located in Zhu Zuopo, a village in Bainiu Town, dengzhou city. The village doesn't look so good. It is on a hillside, and most people in the village are surnamed Li. It is said that the villagers moved here because they saw the water and soil here in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.

In this place, there was a scholar named Li Zan at first. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was very difficult to get into the examination for being a scholar, because once you got into the examination, the official products were at least seven, so if someone got into the examination, you must be respected and fawned on. After Li Zan was admitted to Jinshi, his family was proud of him, even in the countryside.

Walking into his house now, although it is not what it used to be, it can be seen that the conditions of his house are already the best in the village. The main entrance of the hall is divided into three rooms, and the walls are all made of blue bricks. The slabs laid on the floor of the corridor are also good slabs, and the doors inside are carefully carved. But now these blue brick walls and wooden doors are crumbling and feel like they will collapse at any time. There is also a big cypress tree in the yard, which seems out of place with this house.

Later, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, another scholar came out, but he served as a military attache. His position is to be a bodyguard in the palace, and at the same time he will go out to fight, which has made a lot of contributions. Therefore, it won the appreciation of Qianlong, allowed him to go home to build a hospital, and stipulated that both civil servants and military attache should visit him as long as they passed by his door. However, this double Jinshi compound should have been protected, but its location is too remote to be cared for, and it was basically destroyed a long time ago, especially because many beams inside were taken away by others, so now only the unrecognizable living room is left, and the others have collapsed into ruins.
