Sanya, located at the southernmost tip of Hainan Island, has many tourist attractions. A family can travel to Yalong Bay. There are children's favorite animal exhibition areas and the beautiful Butterfly Valley Shell Museum. Adults can enjoy warmth and romance by stepping on the soft beach. Yalong Bay is a high-quality tropical seaside scenic spot in the eastern suburb of Sanya City, Hainan Province, which is about 10 km away from the urban area. The bay is centered on Wild Boar Island, with Dongzhou Island and Xizhou Island in the south and East Pai and West Pai in the west, which can carry out various water sports.

Yalong Bay integrates five modern tourism elements: ocean, beach, sunshine, green and fresh air, presenting an obvious tropical maritime climate, which is suitable for swimming in all seasons and carrying out various sea sports. The Jin Mu Cape and Yalong Cape in this bay are good places to climb cliffs. Yalong Bay beach stretches for 7 kilometers, gentle and wide, and the shallow sea area is 50-60 meters wide. The sand is white and soft, the sea water is clear and transparent, and the visibility is 7-9 meters.

1. Start from the urban area, go along Yuya Avenue via Dadonghai to Jiyang Town, and then turn to Yalong Bay Special Highway to reach Yalong Bay Resort.

2. From Yingbin Road via Jiyang Town to the intersection of Tianxia First Bay (namely Yalong Bay intersection), drive through the tree-lined road and enter Yalong Bay Resort.

(1) Butterfly Valley in Yalong Bay

Butterfly Valley in Yalong Bay is located in the north of Yalong Bay National Tourism Resort. Walking into the butterfly exhibition hall, I saw colorful eyes. Among the five exhibition halls, the most precious butterflies in China, such as beautiful Papilio, Golden Papilio, Taiwanese Papilio and Alpine Silk Butterfly, and the world-famous butterflies, such as Giant Papilio, Owl Butterfly, Yin Hui Papilio, Sun Butterfly and Moon Butterfly, are vivid, and people can't help but admire the ingenuity of nature.

Out of the exhibition hall, we stepped into a large-scale butterfly garden built by skillfully using the natural vegetation environment of tropical monsoon forest. The unique tropical Gu Teng, exotic and beautiful banyan trees, famous dragon blood trees, Haig trees with strong vitality and thick-skinned trees here give people a warm and quiet feeling against the backdrop of wild flowers and artificial flower arrangement. The gurgling stream is mixed with tourists walking slowly through the valley, and colorful butterflies are flying, which makes people linger.

The best route to visit Butterfly Valley: you can enter the Butterfly Valley Museum first, and then walk along the path to Butterfly Valley.

(2) Yalong Bay Shell House

Yalong Bay Shell House is located in the central square of Yalong Bay National Tourism Resort, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. It is the first comprehensive exhibition hall in China with the theme of shells, integrating science popularization, exhibition and sales. There are more than 300 kinds of representative shells from five sea areas in the world in the exhibition hall, such as seagulls and mussels with angel wings, famous living fossils such as red Weng Rong mule and nautilus. Visitors are in the elegant and natural exhibition hall, and a deep winding path leads to a secluded place, as if immersed in the blue ocean world. While marveling at the wonders of nature, it inspires children's feelings of loving nature and protecting the ocean.
