Hongqi Town in Jinwan District is one of the 268 central towns approved by Guangdong Province. The main urban area of Jinwan District is located in Hongqi Town, which is the central city of western Zhuhai and the political, economic and cultural center of Jinwan District.

Hongqi Town has a population of 65,000 and an area of 150 square kilometers. The town has jurisdiction over eight community neighborhood committees, namely Hudong, Tengshan, Guang 'an, Sanban, Mine, Bayi, Dalin and Xiaolin. There are five village committees, namely Kobayashi, Guangyi, Guangfa, Sanban and Shaji, and Hongqi Holding Company.
