Xue Jiawan belongs to Zhungeer Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Xue Jiawan is the first urbanized town in Zhungeer Banner, located in the east of Zhungeer Banner, which was founded in August/990 with an area of 1 138.82 square kilometers. Xuejiawan Town has complex topography and simple geological structure, and the overall structure belongs to Ordos monocline syncline. On the basis of pre-Paleosinian system, thick sediments from Sinian system to Quaternary system are distributed, and the stratigraphic deposition is relatively complete. Except for angular unconformity contact in some areas, the strata in each era are generally continuous deposition or pseudo-conformity contact, which has the characteristics of sedimentary cycle and regional unconformity.
