Xue Baochai fortune-telling _ Xue Baochai calculation
I spent more than half an hour typing. No credit, no hard work. Please don't look at it.
Ideologically, Lin Daiyu did not agree with the mainstream values of feudal society. She never advised Jia Baoyu to read sage books in the name of fame. She not only did not converge on her personality, but also made considerable publicity. And Xue Baochai really caters to the mainstream values of feudal society. In front of feudal parents, he especially knew how to restrain his personality, eager to please everywhere, and always persuaded Jia Baoyu to take the "right path" of "official career economy" Since the mid-1950s, this understanding of Dai and Chai has grasped the essence and become the consensus of people. There is a lot of discussion in this respect, so I won't repeat the examples.
Before 1950s, based on their own aesthetic perception, some redologists thought that Dai and Chai stood side by side like two mountains separated by water, each with its own beauty and each with its own beauty, and put forward the view that Dai and Chai were one. Some readers, of course, mainly male readers, enjoy the same rewards as Dai and Chai, and think that it is a great blessing in life to marry as firewood and make friends as Dai. This is actually a mode of ideological integration between Dai and Chai. Some readers, both men and women, prefer Baochai and think that she is an ideal woman. Daiyu is in poor health, sick, and possibly tuberculosis, a highly contagious disease. Let's not talk about this, that personality, narrow-minded, sharp-tongued, not necessarily heartless. For example, she described Granny Liu as a "mother locust". Although she didn't say it in front of Granny Liu, what she said behind her back, especially as a farmer, was really unkind. This kind of performance can't be summarized by "anti-feudalism" in any case. It can be said that it reveals a complete sense of superiority of noble ladies, which is very unacceptable! In the late 1950s, these views and post-reading feelings were either criticized or in a non-mainstream state.
Revealing the ideological differences between Dai and Chai from a modern perspective is a good way to interpret A Dream of Red Mansions. In this way, A Dream of Red Mansions is regarded as a progressive work against feudal orthodoxy, from which great cognitive value can be gained. Through the two artistic images of Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu, we can also analyze that Cao Xueqin wants to show some characteristics of new people in society in them, so he can give Cao Xueqin a high evaluation. In other words, this author is great. He created a typical progressive image. In such a dark age, he was able to draw a flash of lightning to illuminate the way forward in history.
Today, people seem to read A Dream of Red Mansions without any rules. They have different views and attitudes towards Dai and Chai. Personally, I think it is of progressive significance to reveal the ideological differences between Dai and Chai and point out that the mainstream of image is anti-feudal. At the same time, it is pointed out that the image of Baochai conforms to feudalism, which is negative and tenable. This is good for us to read and understand A Dream of Red Mansions.
When I was reading A Dream of Red Mansions, I found that Cao Xueqin didn't inadvertently write the difference between Dai and Chai. It is considered that Dai and Chai have only personality differences but no ideological differences, which is not in line with the actual situation of the text of A Dream of Red Mansions. However, the unity of Dai and Chai is indeed an overall design of Cao Xueqin's writing of these two characters, not because I want to oppose the analysis of these two artistic images from a modern point of view, let alone pester them.
As detailed above, it's the fifth time to write the official edition of Twelve Women in Jinling. The first page is a painting and a poem, which clearly shows the unity of Dai and women. The song "Life Mistake" in Twelve Poems of a Dream of Red Mansions is sung in Baoyu's tone, but it is also clearly expressed by Dai and Chai. Later, the police fairy introduced her sister to Baoyu, clearly stating that women are bright and charming, some like Baochai and some like Daiyu. Moreover, the nickname of beauty is beautiful and the word is ke Qing. You see, it is obvious that Dai and Chai have many different ideologies and expressions, but Cao Xueqin's overall design of these two characters in the text is like this. He is unity and beauty. Shouldn't this mystery be solved, too?
I think Zhi Yanzhai is Cao Xueqin's collaborator, and I also agree that her life prototype is a cousin named Li of Cao Xueqin. In the book, she is portrayed as an artistic image like Shi Xiangyun. When she approved the book, she clearly pointed out that although Chai and Yu are two names, everyone is one, and this magic pen is also. Of course, even if Zhi Yanzhai is indeed a close collaborator of Cao Xueqin, she may not fully understand Cao Xueqin's ideological height. Her revelation of the post-80s plot and analysis of Cao Xueqin's artistic techniques are more valuable than her ideological analysis of her works. I think Cao Xueqin's portrayal of Dai and Chai is to show their differences in thought and behavior. Of course, he did not blindly write one for the positive and the other for the negative, but wrote about the complexity of everyone's personality and humanity. What he wrote was not a positive or negative concept, but a vivid life. But in any case, he held a clear negative attitude towards Xue Baochai's exhortation to Jia Baoyu to "make progress" in reading; It is a clear-cut affirmation and praise for Lin Daiyu's intention not to seek fame and fortune. Especially in the thirty-sixth chapter, he criticized Xue Baochai with Jia Baoyu's mouth, and he wrote without mercy. I remember how he wrote: "A clean and white daughter has also learned to pursue fame and reputation and entered the traitor ghost stream! This is always the cause of trouble for no reason. Originally a confusing thing, guiding future generations. I don't want to be unlucky. I also dyed it in Qionggui Xiuge. Really have the beauty of Zhong Ling! " Boy, Xue Baochai is going to be expelled from the series of water as flesh and blood and return to the series of mud as flesh and blood. And writing more directly, Juelin Daiyu never advised him to get ahead from an early age, so he deeply respected her. If the prototype of Zhi Yanzhai is really Shi Xiangyun, I wonder what she thinks of Cao Xueqin's writing the dialogue between Xiang and Bao back to the 32nd time. Remember that episode? Jia Yucun came to see Jia Zheng and wanted to see Baoyu, so Baoyu had to go. Shi Xiangyun saw that he was full of unhappiness, so he advised him that you should not study and take an examination of scholars, but should often meet these people who are butchers, talk about the knowledge of official career economy and have a friend in the future. I didn't see what you adults only mixed up in our team! Please note that in fact, in the first eighty times, Xue Baochai's exhortation to Jia Baoyu was not clearly written, but Shi Xiangyun's exhortation to Jia Baoyu was very specific. Jia Baoyu is honest.
Let Shi Xiangyun go angrily and say, I'm here to carefully pollute your knowledge of economics. Aroma told Shi Xiangyun that Xue Baochai had touched a nail for this and was extremely embarrassed. Fortunately, Miss Bao touched a nail. I don't know how Miss Lin will cry if she is involved. Baoyu said that Miss Lin never said such nonsense. If she said such nonsense, I would have separated from him! Identification is breaking up, and breaking up when you are alive. It is difficult to explain these words in other ways. For example, Baoyu doesn't really love Daiyu. He mainly sympathized with Daiyu, who was dependent on others and sickly. From this description, it is also difficult to draw the conclusion that Baoyu actually loves Shi Xiangyun in the first eighty times. The thirty-second time, after writing that Baoyu said those words were "bullshit", Zhi Yanzhai had a criticism, saying: You can laugh if you have written enough stupid Baoyu! In fact, she only thought it was about Baoyu's character, but didn't seem to realize it was about Baoyu's thought, a very important thought!
But the passage I quoted in Chapter 36 above is that Baoyu's resentment and fame have polluted the boudoir. At the bottom of that paragraph, it is written that Baoyu not only has words, but also acts. He delayed the ancients and burned all the books, leaving only four. There is a criticism in this place that Baoyu has any mind, the author's opinion, and the pen and ink of this article! Just a compliment. I think this shows that Zhi Yanzhai still has a certain understanding of Cao Xueqin's thoughts expressed in A Dream of Red Mansions. She knew that Cao Xueqin's writing about Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu was deviant and serious, and they didn't live under the guidance of "fucking words". She also tolerated Cao Xueqin taking her as the prototype. In the first eighty chapters, she wrote a Shi Xiangyun who actually didn't understand the official career economy at all, just following the situation encountered by a prototype like Xue Baochai.
There are obvious differences in thought and behavior between Dai and Chai. And in essence, one is a rebel of feudal ethics and the other is a loyal minister of feudal ethics, and the two are sharply opposed. I generally agree with this argument. But after reading it, I have the impression that in the first 80 chapters, their ideological differences or essential opposition are all reflections, and they did not even form a direct conflict on such a big right and wrong issue. Their head-on conflicts are all manifested in close combat caused by their feelings for Baoyu. Lin Daiyu is a mean master. I don't know what do you think is the meanest sentence of Daiyu to Baochai in the book? I think it was the thirty-fourth time, after Baoyu was beaten. Daiyu's eyes are swollen like peaches because she loves Baoyu. However, when she stood in the shade of flowers and saw Baochai passing by, she smiled and said, Take care, Sister, even if you cry for two altar tears, you can't cure that stick sore! Listen, what's this called? I am only allowed to cry my eyes into hearts, and I am not allowed to have tears in my eyes. I'm afraid I can't say that I fired at the idea of being loyal to feudalism with such mean words and such a collision. Even if you, Daiyu, pursue the freedom of love and marriage, and you are afraid that Baoyu will be kidnapped by the heresy of "good marriage" and "can't allow others to sleep soundly on the couch", then it is not worth hurting people with such words!
Baochai will never be a vegetarian at a critical moment. What is Baochai's most powerful reply to Daiyu in the book? I wonder if your opinion is consistent with mine. I think in episode 30, Daiyu asked Baochai what she saw at her brother's birthday party. Xue Baochai deliberately said that I saw Li Kui jy scold Song Jiang and later apologized. Baoyu said aside that the play was called "offer a humble apology"-Baochai simply pointed the gun at Daiyu and Baoyu and said angrily, so this is called offering a humble apology, and you didn't know it until you knew it. I don't know what that is! A few words made Er Yu blush and speechless, and Baochai was not only playing dumb, but also gentle and sincere. She's angry and miserable enough. However, this confrontation can only be said to be an emotional conflict of love triangle. It is hard to say that she used a set of feudal ethics to attack Er Yu's deviance. As far as this plot is concerned, I think it is really impossible to analyze that connotation.
By the 42nd time, this time I wrote that Baochai wanted to interrogate Dai Yu, because she used the sentences in the order of dental cards in The West Chamber and Peony Pavilion when playing dental cards in front. Playing with dental cards and saying that such a law is a taboo. I don't know if anyone else heard it. Maybe they didn't hear it. Maybe they think these are just two words. At that time, young men and women in feudal aristocratic families read The West Chamber and The Peony Pavilion, but reading such books was regarded as indecent behavior. Among Xue Baoqin's ten nostalgic riddles, the last two involve the truth and the story of Peony Pavilion. Xue Baochai "plays the fool everywhere" said: "The first eight are well documented in historical records, and the last two are not tested. I might as well write two more poems.
Yes "Daiyu argued that there was something in the play, and Li Wan also said that storytelling and singing were all in it, even mentioning the note batch signed by the fortune teller, which meant that you could get that information from other ways besides reading. Finally, Li Wan made it more clear. Besides, she hasn't read the lyrics of The West Chamber and The Peony Pavilion. It doesn't matter. Keep them. There is no need to write two poems separately. The plot of Baoqin's poem is the fifty-first time, but it helps us to understand a kind of weird feudal ethics in that era, that is, we can know it from opera and Quyi, but we are not allowed to read such books and songs directly.
I remember when I read forty-two times for the first time, I read that Baochai called Daiyu to Yuan, made Daiyu kneel down, and said that she would interrogate Daiyu, so I thought, Ah, feudal guardians and feudal rebels must confront each other and fight it out this time! But the following interpretation is wrong, in fact, it is about the reconciliation between Dai and Chai. Looking back this time, not only is there no gunpowder, but it is full of warm atmosphere. It is called "Wu Heng Lan Junyan dispels doubts", which is not "slanderous words" but "blue words", which means confidence; Instead of causing a heated argument, Dai and Chai were relieved of each other's suspicion, and they lived in peace from then on until the end of the 1980s. This is not the unity of Dai and Chai. What is this?
My personal feeling of looking at a dream of red mansions is that Dai and Chai have different names, and there are obviously two people. However, by the forty-second time, they made up. This is indeed the original intention of Cao Xueqin. The two opposites could have been compared to two cards, but after this time, they merged into one card, one here and one there, which were inseparable. Why did Cao Xueqin write like this?
What is more worthy of scrutiny is that Cao Xueqin surprised Jia Baoyu in his works by the combination of Dai and Chai. The forty-ninth time I wrote that the old lady was so fond of Baoqin that even Baochai was jealous. Baoyu always knew that Daiyu was a little girl, and he was afraid that Daiyu would feel uncomfortable because of it. However, what I saw and heard in front of me was that Daiyu was not jealous of Qin, and Chai did not ridicule Daiyu, which greatly surprised Baoyu. Cao Xueqin wrote about human nature at this time. How did he write it? Baoyu was unhappy when he saw that Dai and Chai were one! Supposedly, Daiyu was relieved of Baochai, so she wouldn't sulk with Baoyu for his "golden marriage". Baochai no longer took the opportunity to ridicule him and Daiyu. Since then, the world has been at peace, and his ears can be greatly cleaned. He should be happy but not happy. How could he be unhappy? This is the mystery of human nature. The sweetness of love actually has an indispensable part, that is, the lover's preparedness against rival in love and the initiative to attack when necessary. Of course, this part is too inflated, which will worsen love; But this part has completely disappeared. In the face of rival in love, even in the case of more and more potential rivals, it doesn't matter at all. Then, love will be flawed and become dull. Baoyu was unhappy when he lost something when Daiyu really regarded Baochai as his sister and Baoqin as his sister. Of course, Dai and Chai are not completely merged into one person, but they no longer conflict, from mutual defense to mutual comfort. What's going on here? Cao Xueqin asked Daiyu privately through Baoyu and gave an explanation. Baoyu borrowed a sentence from the West Chamber, that is, "When did Meng Guang take over the Hongliang case?" He asked Daiyu when she and Baochai were reconciled. Daiyu told Baoyu the whole story, saying that it was a mistake to drink. Baochai did not report to her parents, but reminded her privately, which actually protected her. Later, I took pity on her and sent someone to bring her good bird's nest, clean plum slices and snowflake candy. From then on, she changed her view of Baochai. She said to Baoyu:
Who knows Baochai is really a good person? I always thought she was hiding traitors! Baoyu realized this.
Baoyu got it. As readers, do we follow suit? At first, to be honest, I still didn't quite understand. Later, I read it several times and thought about it before I understood.
At that time, if Baochai didn't let Daiyu know from back to back, she wouldn't pretend to be a formal informer, just looking for an opportunity to talk casually in front of her mother or Mrs. Wang, or simply talk casually in front of Grandmother Jia. I don't know where Daiyu got the evil words in The West Chamber and Peony Pavilion, so she was so fascinated that she played tooth cards that day and even said a few words. Then, even if these parents don't chase and blame Daiyu, Daiyu will immediately become a bad girl in their minds. Aunt Xue and Mrs. Wang have always been wary of Daiyu. If it weren't for Jia Mu, Daiyu wouldn't have made a mistake. They have already arranged Bauer's marriage. Then, if Grandmother Jia knows that Daiyu secretly read evil books and likes "obscene words and gossip", the balance will definitely tilt in favor of Baochai when choosing a wife for Baoyu. However, under such circumstances, Baochai did not even hide the traitor, but led Daiyu to a single room in Wu Heng Hospital and had a sincere conversation. She not only advised Daiyu to be cautious, but also confessed to Daiyu. Do you remember that paragraph? What did Baochai say? She said, who do you think I am? I am also a naughty boy. I have been pestering people since I was seven or eight years old. At that time, her family's adult books The West Chamber, Pipa and Hundred Yuan People were everywhere. Her brothers looked behind her back, and she looked behind her back. Of course, they all looked behind her back. Therefore, in fact, before Baoyu and Daiyu, Baochai was a pioneer in reading so-called "evil books" and so-called "obscene words and waves", and there were more kinds than them. Everyone should remember that as early as the 22nd time, Baochai told them about a "parasitic grass" in the play "Drunk Wutai Mountain". If she hasn't read the lyrics, how can she watch the play and recite it? How can she analyze so many stories? Baochai told Daiyu that she was actually an experienced person. Later, her parents found out, beat her, scolded her and burned her, and then she left. Of course, Baochai is Baochai after all, and she will inevitably persuade Daiyu that her daughters should only knit. Although Daiyu thanked Baochai for her sincerity and protection, she didn't necessarily want to do it from now on according to the norm that "a woman without talent is virtue". In fact, after forty-two times, the two men generally parted ways, but it is a fact that the two sides became friends and no longer doubted the conflict. The unity of Dai and Chai is not the unity of people, but the unity of people.
Why did Cao Xueqin arrange this and design the plot of wearing firewood in one? This is only the forty-second time. According to the book 108 times, half is less than half. Two essentially opposing artistic images will not conflict with each other. This shows that although some of our descendants, according to modern consciousness, pay more attention to Dai's anti-feudalism and Chai's obedience to feudalism, and like to see their conflicts again and again. However, Cao Xueqin did not meet this psychological demand. Although he wrote the main differences between Dai and Chai, such as the catkin words they filled in in the 1970s, they still sang their own tunes, which is very different. However, at least from the point of writing that Dai Yu no longer bears a grudge, especially no longer collides with Baochai, doesn't it wear away her edges and weaken the resistance of this artistic image?
In my opinion, Cao Xueqin designed this way because in his mind, Dai and Chai were both prisoners of the boudoir and were suppressed by feudal ethics, despite their different thoughts and pursuits. They are all unfortunate women who should be understood, sympathized, regretted and mourned.
The seventh time, Zhou Rui's family sent palace flowers, and he wrote that Xue Baochai had brought hot poison in her womb. What does this mean? Suggesting that she is actually like other young women in aristocratic families. From an innate point of view, her body cavity is also a fiery soul longing for freedom and love. On the basis of this life, she is no different from Daiyu, but the day after tomorrow, under the lessons of feudal parents, she consciously walked in free love, showed her true feelings, publicized her personality, acted alone, felt ashamed, guilty and guilty, and tried her best to suppress herself and cool her soul to a cold level. The book says-of course, that's an artistic technique-that a bald monk introduced him to a strange seaside. How does that pill need to be prepared? I won't go into details here. Everyone should have the impression that it is almost impossible to go to heaven, which involves almost every important solar term and is very demanding. That passage is actually a metaphor, that is to say, her life, year after year, month after month, day and night, must be cautious, in order to suppress the innate heat poison and achieve the so-called dignified and virtuous. Her beauty has been written many times in the book, but it has also been pointed out many times that that kind of beauty belongs to Leng Yan and is heartless and moving. Once Daiyu listened to Baochai's heartfelt words and reached an understanding, she certainly understood Baochai's past and came to the conclusion that Baochai's sister was really a good person.
Daiyu clearly loves Baoyu, and Baochai secretly loves Baoyu, but Baoyu only loves Daiyu, but neither of them can get the freedom of love and marriage. At that time, especially in that family, marriages were arranged by parents. In the 42nd time, Cao Xueqin unified Dai and Chai, and no longer took the differences and frictions in their thoughts and behaviors as the driving force of the plot. So, what has he changed?
Plot driving force I think, first, he broadens readers' horizons in depth, like from 55 to 6 1. Except for fifty-seven times, he went back to write Huizijuan and worked hard on jade. He used six books to extend the brushwork to the middle and lower levels inside and outside the Grand View Garden, so that readers can enjoy more kinds of life and cry. He let us know that contradictions are everywhere, conflicts of interest, personality conflicts and emotional conflicts will inevitably lead to great tragedies. First, there was civil strife in Jia family, then foreign invasion and civil strife intertwined. He wanted to free his hand to write about the coming events cast their shadows before him. Finally, the Hulala Building he wanted to write about collapsed. In addition, he is going to write about who Baoyu married as his wife. This kind of ending is mainly decided by the parents of Rongguo mansion, but the family right structure of Rongguo mansion has certain particularity, that is, as long as Jia Mu is alive, Jia Zheng and Mrs. Wang Can cannot but respect Jia Mu's intention and decision on Baoyu's marriage.
A friend in pink told me that he was against Baoyu marrying Daiyu, because Daiyu's mother's surname was Jia, and she was Baoyu's menstruation. They are cousins, and their blood relationship is too close. From the perspective of eugenics, if close relatives get married, they will have silly children. Relatively speaking, although Baochai is also a cousin, her parents are both foreign surnames. They are aunts and uncles, and they are slightly distant by blood. But in modern society, you shouldn't get married, because there are hidden dangers for the next generation. In short, Baoyu can't marry Daiyu in particular. This friend in pink said that as far as he knows, even in the old society, cousins were generally not allowed to get married. He said, I really don't understand why Cao Xueqin set the identities of Baoyu and Daiyu like this.
In the old society, it was true that cousins were generally not encouraged to get married, but it doesn't matter if they are cousins. If the parents' orders match the matchmaker's words, no one will think it is a problem.
I told my pink friend that although Jia Zheng was designed as the second son of the Jia family in the book, his prototype was actually Cao, the nephew of Li's husband. He was the prototype of the Jia family. After he and his biological son Cao died one after another, he was adopted to the name and became Li's son. In real life, there is no direct blood relationship between mother and son. As I said before, Jia She in the book is actually just an elder brother of Cao, but she didn't adopt with Li. Because Cao Xueqin wrote a novel with a self-report, autobiography and family history, it was not completely fictional. He didn't write that Jia She, the eldest son, lived in the main courtyard of the mansion, and criticized Jue's eldest son for his filial piety in supporting his mother. He still writes according to his real life, and writes that a son lives with his mother. This is a major feature of the text of A Dream of Red Mansions: when real life conflicts with artistic assumptions,
Then, we can know that in real life, Li's son died, and there was a daughter who married and gave birth to a granddaughter, but died soon. So, she took her granddaughter from Jiangnan to Beijing and turned it into a novel. This is Lin Daiyu. It is understandable that Jia Mu cherishes Baoyu so much, because according to the thinking of that era, the adopted son is an adult, a mother and son in courtesy, and it is difficult to achieve emotional integration. However, a grandson looks after his life and is raised like a phoenix every day. Just like a son, he can build a deep emotional relationship. The real situation in this life is described in detail in the book, and everyone is familiar with it, so I won't give examples. Then, Lin Daiyu came, and later her father died, so she lived in Guo Rong Mansion. Why does the Jia family love her so much? Before she lived in the Grand View Garden, she kept her around, treated her like Baoyu, and publicized her personality. She saw it in her eyes, heard it in her eyes, but let it go. Why on earth? Think about Jia's life prototype. Li opens his eyes every day. Although she has a son, a daughter-in-law, a daughter-in-law and a niece who all come to tease her and raise her well, which one is really related to her? To tell the truth, there is only one. Her own daughter and granddaughter are the prototype of Lin Daiyu.
With such a stroke, you will understand that in real life, the prototypes of Baoyu and Daiyu are not blood cousins, and then compare them with Baochai's prototype. Ah, the prototype of Baoyu is much closer to that of Baochai! From the perspective of eugenics, it is more appropriate for Baoyu prototype to marry Daiyu prototype.
