Brief introduction of gunhe river

Gunhe, a tributary of Tangbai River, a tributary of Hanjiang River in the Yangtze River system, was called Baishui in ancient times. Originated in Dafu Mountain, Zaoyang City, Hubei Province, it flows through Zhangji and Ji Meng in Zaoyang City and Xiangzhou District (formerly Xiangyang County) in Xiangyang City, and flows into Tangbai River to the west of Tangdian. The total length is over 94 kilometers. Most tributaries are in Zaoyang, mainly including Shahe River, Hexiong River and Huayang River. 1 Historically, flood disasters occurred frequently in Gunhe River Basin. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), two large reservoirs, 10 medium reservoirs and 32 small (I) reservoirs were built, which basically controlled the flood disaster.
