" On the back of the memorial archway is written "West Shu Famous Temple". There is a pair of couplets on each side, which reads: "Relying on the spiritual luck of the Han Dynasty is the western legal circle; Smelling its water, we can see that Caoxi is a resort. "

Behind the archway is the "Wen Ming Birthday" archway, followed by the Heavenly King Hall of Yongqing Temple, and behind the archway is the octagonal pavilion with double eaves. It is said that the Laihe Pavilion was built in the Song Dynasty, and there is a Putuo Hall behind it. There is an inexhaustible "Tianchi" behind the temple. Behind Tianchi Lake is the Hall of Ursa, and on the right is the Moon Pool. Chonglongshan north slope. The China Dictionary of Places of Interest also records: "There are stone carvings in the Middle East, West, South and North, and Beiyan is the most beautiful." Cliff statues are distributed between the two rock walls of Junziquan and Gubeiyan, with a total of 160 niches and 1648 statues. There is a gentleman's spring between the rock walls of Beiyan, and there are three characters inscribed by Su Dongpo: "Call it a fish pond".

Although there are different opinions in some places, the legendary hero Ding benefited the people, became a fairy and turned the crane into his hometown. Later generations built the Saihe Pavilion in memory of him. These legends are all the same.

According to legend, Ding is from Liaoyang, and his official position is very small. He is a small official in charge of the granary in Liaoyang. Although the official is not big, the power of food is all in his hands. At that time, there was a drought in the world for three consecutive years. "In order to ensure that the royal family and officials in Beijing don't go hungry, the emperor made an imperial edict to store food in granaries all over the country and send it to Beijing without a grain left. The imperial edict was sent to Liaoyang. After reading the imperial edict, Ding was in a bad mood. When he got home, he pulled a long face, and his family asked him several times why, but Ding just didn't speak.

Ding, why? Because he wanted to disobey the imperial edict and didn't want to send away the grain from the state treasury. He has already made a plan, and he can't watch people starve to death. That year, let alone three consecutive years of drought, even one year, the people can't stand it. In the past three years, the people have been miserable, poor and short-lived, and no one cares about starvation. In order to survive, I have to sell my children and girls, so the bodies of starving people are still everywhere.

Ding saw the people's disaster with his own eyes, and his heart was as uncomfortable as a knife. What kind of world is this? Food would rather rot in warehouses in Beijing, regardless of the lives of ordinary people. Where is justice? I would rather die for the people than live for a bad king. He said categorically: "Not a grain of Liaoyang can be sent away. Open the warehouse and release the grain! "

The granary was opened and the grain was distributed to the poor in the suburbs according to Ding's distribution. This is beyond my dreams. People regard Ding as a living bodhisattva who helps the poor. Since then, Ding's fame has shaken the world, and the news soon spread to Beijing. The emperor was furious, kicked off the dragon case and ordered Ding to return to Beijing.

Ding knew that if he went to Beijing, he would be beheaded, which was what he expected. However, I didn't go to Ding. He said to the imperial envoy, "I am from Liaoyang and I love the people of Liaoyang. If I die, I will die in Liaoyang. " He returned the imperial edict The imperial court sent an imperial envoy with a large army to behead Ding. It was the middle of winter, the northwest wind roared, and the goose feather and snow were flying all over the sky. Ding was tied to the giving ground, and his head didn't fall to the ground until three shots were fired at noon.

People from far and near braved the north wind, smoked and snowed, and flooded into the altar like the tide. Tears flowed down her face one after another. Who can come and save this merciful living Buddha and watch the savior die? If you can't repay this kindness, take a good look. The donation site was crowded with people.

Towards noon, the first shot ended, followed by the second shot. People's hearts are about to jump out. Just then, a crane fell from the sky, flapped its wings, landed firmly on the ground, and pecked Ding's rope with its beak. The third gun rang, and when the executioner came up with a steel knife, Ding was already sitting on the crane's back, and the crane spread its wings and flew into the sky. It was too late for the executioner to stop it. When the crane flew to Lingbo Mountain, it saw a tall temple in the distance. On the mountain, the cypress is green and the crane is steady. Ding got off the crane's back. Suddenly, the crane flapped its wings twice and became an old road.

This sophisticated, snow-white bun, silver beard floating on his chest, big eyes under two knife-shaped eyebrows, and a neat green robe look full of fairy tales. Ming Ding understood: The old man turned into a crane to save himself. I couldn't help kneeling on my knees and kowtowing again and again, saying, "Thank you for saving my life!" The elder helped Ding up and said, "This is the result of your benefit for the people!" Talking together into the temple gate.

The old man looks like he is only in his sixties, but he is actually one hundred and eight years old. He is the elder of Lingboshan Cihang, and he is a respected elder. He deeply sympathized with Ding's experience, and must not watch a person who benefited the people being killed innocently. So I went to Ding myself, rescued him and took Ding as an apprentice. Ding deeply felt the kindness of the elders, worked hard to cultivate Buddhism every day, and finally became an immortal. Immortals also miss their hometown. One year, Ding turned into a crane, flew back to his hometown and landed on the huabiao column in Nanshan, Liaoyang. People were very surprised when they saw the crane. They only heard it standing on the huabiao column and singing, "I was in Ding and missed the mountains and rivers of my hometown." The green mountains and green waters are not right, and the angelica is not returned! "

This song spread all over the world, and people rushed to preach: "Ding was a fairy! The crane on the huabiao column is Ding Lingwei! " There are a sea of people around the huabiao column. The crane looked at the people and nodded to them. Then it spread its wings and flew several times in the air. Then it flew to Qian Shan and stopped at the stream in front of Zuyue Temple. In order to commemorate Ding, later generations built a hexagonal memorial pavilion at the place where the crane stopped, named Laihe Pavilion. This is the famous "Laihe Pavilion" in Qian Shan.
