This film is a story about growing up. According to the rules of the wizarding world, when a girl reaches the age of 13, she must leave home to practice independently for one year, and Kiki is no exception. She took Gigi, a black cat, to a big city by the sea, but no one paid attention to her.

Depressed, Kiki accidentally gave someone a lost item, thus winning the favor of the bakery owner. With her help, Kiki started a courier business with her flying magic.

Gradually, Kiki adapted to the new environment and worked smoothly. She made many new friends. Dragonfly, a boy who is keen on making airplanes, invited Kiki to the party of the Flying Club. On the day of the party, Kiki didn't have time to help an old lady deliver something and caught a cold in the rain.

Kiki suddenly found that her magic was weakening. Good friend Ursla invited Kiki, who was depressed, to her house to play, and Kiki regained her confidence under her comfort. The news that "Dragonfly" was in distress was broadcast on TV. Kiki rode a mop and struggled to fly to the scene of the accident, successfully rescuing "Dragonfly".
