Suining is located in the southeast of Xuzhou, the central area of Xu Lian Economic Belt, and an important wing of Xuzhou Urban Belt, one of the three major urban belts planned and constructed by Jiangsu Province. Area 1.773 km2, total population1.3000. The county governs 16 towns. Xuzhou is an important health city with superior location and regional conditions. Xuzhou, an important railway transportation hub in China, is in the west, and Lianyungang, the eastern bridgehead of Eurasia Continental Bridge, is in the east. High-standard Xu Ning (Airport) Road, 104 National Road and provincial, municipal and county-level highways crisscross, and Xu (Su)-Ning Expressway runs through the east and west. Beijing-Shanghai and Huolian expressways pass through Suining. The inland waterway is close to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and Xushahe and Xuhonghe are directly connected to Hongze Lake. Xuzhou Guanyin Airport, the first-class trunk airport of national civil aviation, is located in Suining, which has built an air bridge outside Suining and formed a three-dimensional traffic network of land, sea and air, with very convenient traffic.
