Historical evolution of Nanyang mountain area

1 950 March1Guangdong Province has classified 505 villages in Nanyang Mountain Area of Huilai County, Daping Township of Lu Fengxian, Jiudou of Jieyang and wushi village into Puning County (now Puning City) of Guangdong Province.

1957 There are Meilin Township, Gaopu Township, Yunluo Township, Puchuan Township, Nanyang Township, Daping Township and Huangsha Forest Farm in Nanyang Mountain Area of Puning County.

1960 daping township in Nanyang mountain area of puning county was changed to daping farm.

196 1 year, Meilin Commune, Gaopu Commune, Yunluo Commune, Pu Chuan Commune, Nanyang Commune and Huangsha Farm were established in Nanyang Mountain Area of Puning County.

1965, Nanyang Mountain Productive Labor University in Puning County was established, which is the predecessor of Pu Chuan Middle School in Puchuan Town.

1April, 993, Puning County was abolished and Puning City was established, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province.

The origin of the name "Nanyang Mountain" is that the ancestors of Lai and Yang moved from Nanyang, Henan Province to Nanyang, Yongding, Fujian Province in history, and then moved to this mountain area in the next two years (1507) to start a business, named after their native place.
